If an ad says they will pay your relocation expense does that include buying buying out the remaining months you have on a lease or would it just be paying themovers to take your stuff point A to point B?

sounds like a case-by-case thing, I'd be too thrilled to have my expenses paid to even ask for that.

try to work something out with the landlord.

It does depend on the company.

One of my boys got offered a job about 3 hours away. They offered relocation expenses...but all they gave was $100 to cover a U-Haul.

I know of one company that will pay to fly you R/T to your new city, put you up for 3 days to give you time to look for a new place, pay the penalty to breakyour old lease, and pay for a moving company or truck rental for your stuff.

You might as well just ask them up front, if the cost is a serious issue...there's usually some negotiation room in there.

I've heard of companies paying a bonus to cover the rest of a lease but I'm not sure if your company will.. I would ask them upfront.
