I aint hopped on a plane in over a year now, but I was recently doin some research. I wanted to ask is it like standard to charge just to have a bag to check in? As in if i bring a luggage and a backpack (which I do WHEREVER I GO) I'mgonna get charged a fee? Like I remember they were gonna charge me because my bag was heavy but like charging just to fly with a checked bag period? Whatpart of the game is that.

I know I've seen the ads and what not about no fees with SW but I didnt know this applied to standard check on bags?

yea they charge between $15-$50 depending on the airline and weight of your bag. i think they finally stopped charging for soda and peanuts, which is alwaysgood. if your bag can fit in the over head compartment, try having it as a carry on and if you get to the plane and they say the bag is too big they'llgate check it and put it with the other checked in bags, for free. that's what i always do.
