West End Mother Found Dead In Her Apartment
An investigation is underway after a West End mother was found dead in her apartment Wednesday morning.

Cincinnati police say one of Victoria Gibson's friends discovered her inside the bedroom of her apartment in the 700 block of Chestnut Street.

Investigators have not said how Gibson died, but are calling her death suspicious.

Family and friends have been gathering outside the apartment all day.

Relatives say Gibson, who was in her early 30s, leaves behind four children, ages 14, 10, 7 and 3.

Friends say they spoke to Gibson the night before her body was discovered by relatives.

Jaime Dotson, one of Gibson's friends, says she drove to the apartment and found her friend dead in her bedroom.

"She was laid across the floor. It looks like she got shot in her bed and she just fell on the floor. I don't know. I just saw her and she had a lot of blood on her chest. And her hands, one was on her chest and the other was on the floor. She was just laying there. She was just dead. I was like Vic," said Dotson.

Friends also say Gibson's youngest child was found lying on top of her. That child was not harmed.

Police have not released any other information at this time.
My grandmother and aunt live probably not even 30 seconds from this and this is a ongoing problem with that 1 street.

. I've had friends to get robbed over there.

I didn't know her personally but I knew of her and I know some of her family members. We all grew up around each other. So it kinda hits home. Its reallysad for a young mother with 4 very young children to be killed. Who knows how this will spin the rest of their young lives. Last summer, a mother of two Ibelieve was shot in a drive by and was an innocent by stander not too far from this area. The street it happened on is notorious for robberies, drug dealing, basically anything illegal you name it.

Here's a picture of the crime scene...

. The truly sad part is. People around this who are doing illegal stuff will be back at it in no time and we'll hear about another murder.

Can you please say a prayer or send your best wishes to the family/friends?

Thanks two illeven

I hope you all continue not to. It really gets bad here in the summer. Our violence is scattered for real. Everyday its a different area or insome cases like last year, multiple stuff was going on around here.

Its a cycle around here too. It probably happens everywhere, but around here the kids are pretty much doomed. I've seen cats I grew up with replace the oldheads who use to be on the block and now they are training a new batch to take their spot one day. They go from innocent child to hanging with the wrong peopleto problematic to street life and then it usually ends in three ways, Jail, Death or they continue to do it low key. Very few reach that level of top dog. Itjust doesn't stop. Too many people want the fast lane of life.

its a terrible thing..some guy stabbed a bunch of people the other day and ended up killing 3 of them
