Say I were to have a 1.8, My school holds 4 classes a day and right now I currently have 2 As. 1 B and a C.
How would my GPA look by the end of the quarter?
Anybody know anything about this stuff?

Before anybody says anything, I slacked the whole first semester thus my GPA.
Anybody think they can help me out? I needa figure this out, been trying to go to the student counselor but I havent had any luck getting to her....
Broward County, Fl if thats any help.....

A=4 pts.
B=3 pts
C=2 pts.
D=1 pt.
F=0 pts
add up ur total from that list. 4+4+3+2=13

Then divide that # by # of classes so 13/4 = 3.25
your gpa is 3.25

So how would it all be added up? I know it wont go from a 1.8 to a 3.25 just like that..
Will it be like 2.15 or something?? ......

It depends how many classes you've taken so far. You have to add up all your grade points and divide it by the number of possible grade points.

If you took 4 classes first semester, then yeah. Add 1.8 + 3.25 = 5.05/2 = 2.51 would be your new GPA

Also, is the 1.8 only over your first semester because you're a freshman? If that's true then your cumulative GPA would depend on how many classes youtook the first semester to get the 1.8. If it's still 4 then your cumulative would be

7+4+4+3+2=20

Then divide the 20 by 8 = 20/8 = 2.5 which is decent and if you keep doing well you should be good in the future

Like ^ said it all depends how many classes you took for that 1.8 If it was only 4 your gpa will obviously jump alot higher rather than 8 classes for that 1.8

If its 4 do 1.8+1.8+1.8+1.8 + 4 +4 +3 + 2 = 20.2/8 =2.5

Another thing.. I failed biology both quarters in the first semester, so if i can try to retake it in the summer, will the grade be added to my GPA or will ionly get the credit?

Taking the exact same class I believe will give you a replaced grade, but I'm not sure how it works for your school

Yeah I heard it replaces the grade, but will it cause a change in my GPA?
Also, If I do that, Will i need to take it the same amount of time? Like say 2 quarters were 4 1/2 months, will i need to take it for that long or just take itduring the summer for whatever amount of time it is and will it replace the grades for both quarters or just 1 quarter?

Monarch.. Will i be able to retake 2 classes during the summer? anybody with some enlightenment?

You can only take 1 whole year worth of classes over the summer and if it replaces the grade then you should be good if you pull an A. It means then you willdefinitely pull a 2.0 if you got 2 A's instead of whatever grade you got. The problem is that they will be replaced in semesters most likely and notquarters so I don't know how that will work
