how do i delete my messages individually from gmail?

i have about 61 messages from the same person and it doesnt seem to let me delete each individual message without deleting the whole thing..

cliffs
i click person one
doesnt have a box to select which messages i want deleted
so i click delete it, it send 61 messages to trash
go to trash and retrieve messages to send back to inbox
making NT post about how to delete each individual messages.

inbox
[ ] person (61)

[ ] NT (7)

[ ] myspace (53)
 
man come on... you click the check box. then above or below the list of emails u can choose delete.. it will delete the checked off emails...

i think ive covered that.. it doesnt have the check box option for each individual message. .. basically if i press delete it deletes everything.

You know your cliff notes are longer than what you wrote?

Pretty sure you do it like this

> Open the thread3
> Expand the thread to show the essage you wanna delete
> In the top right corner of the message click the "V" down arrow
> Click "delete message"

That should work...I never realy delete messages from gmail..
