That's Vin Baker in the Jordan Vindicates. Actually, Im not sure if they were called the vindicates. All I know is that Vin Baker wore em.

Ahh! My first pair of jordans. I loved those shoes....

Not to go off topic but shouldn't MJ have his tongue out and not Kobe?

i was gonna say that maybe it was a special makeup for the playoffs, as the Bulls always wore black sneakers.

But the pics of the all-star game would prove me wrong. i really have no clue

that's why people should stop calling these damn shoes 'play off XIII's" because they're all stars not playoffs... even though he worethem in the playoffs too, they're allstars first

As stated Jordan wore these in the 98 all-star game, and in the playoffs. In the playoffs he wore these for home game and the black/red for away games(he alsowore low tops during the Pacer series and 14's during the end of the finals). He did the exact same thing in 97 wearing the black and white 12s during theall-star game and in the home games during the playoffs and black and red for away games.

I'll try to make this as short and simple as I can.

Mike wore few different color and style of shoes during the Playoffs.
So, calling them "Playoffs" really doesn't make sense.
Why? Because he wore Black/Red too, and people call them "bred".

This applies to XIIs too. Mike wore Black/White XIIs and Black/Red XIIs during the Playoffs.
Instead of confusing yourselves and others, why don't you just simply call them by their color?
Funny why people don't call the Black/Cement IIIs "All-Star IIIs".
This inconsistency proves that those nicknames are stupid. However, people still insist to call the shoes with those stupid nicknames.

I hope you get my point. I don't think it's hard to understand. I'm pretty sure what I said above does make sense.

LOVE this colourway of the 13's. I'm not a big fan of the 13's but this colourway is one of the top Jordans imo

i think it was another design that jordan didn't like. like that cap toe 10s he had those removed, so with the circle, im sure he fallowed the same conceptof dislike because that is ugly i might say

Call me crazy, but the only significance I can take from the circle is another "GOLD RING" for MJ, but it was too early before the finals to evenexecute that idea.. Unless of course JB knew something beforehand.. lol

So, it's the All-Star Game.
Ah.... Here comes the pictures quoting again..
"Those XIIIs are hot", "nice", "I need these".

if you really think of it, its just that the whole shoe main colorway was "black" so adding a circle around the jordan logo separate it from all theblack.

There Allstar XIII's, I believe the circles was added just to make them stand out from the others.
