Opinions on the Jordan Columbia XI

i have nothing against the columbia XI's...they are a very clean and fresh colorway...but ever since i was a little kid and having watched space jam,i've always wanted to own a pair of the space jam XI's...now that i have my own money to spend, and not my parents money, and can afford to buy theshoes i like, then i buy it...thats why i'm extremely looking forward to buying the space jam XI's come this holiday season...thats just my personalopinion though
 
this is the shoe and colorway that started the shoe-collecting craze for me - the OGs back in '95. i remember that my roommate was able to convince afootlocker manager to sell to him the night before, but he refused to sell me a pair because he said mine was "too popular" a size - 9.5. i wassoooo pissed. and then when i asked him if i could come back in the morning and hold a pair, he told me they were already sold to employees and didn'teven have any to sell the next morning. bunch of jerks!

it's funny to see how times have changed. and how i should've bought more. i remember the morning they released, i went to a footaction and NO ONEwas there...I was the only customer....no line, no nothing. i was a poor college student so could only afford one pair. back then, there were no limits so icould've probably bought their entire stock...just couldn't afford to. oh well. i was just happy to get my pair and wore the heck out of them! istill have them, but like everyone already knows, they are basically yellow now.
 
was never really a fan of them since they were all white (hence why i also dont like all white air force ones....anymore.lol) but yo if you like them, cop.whatever makes you happy my dude
 
the only 11 I owned. they r my favorite colorway for the 11.

cool grey
space jams
blk/red

my order, like back in 96, everywhere i went those shoes broke necks, they were so white n clean, the blue was the added majic touch. wish i had a pair nowthough, even a retro, one of my favorite jordans.
 
I'm not a big fan of the coke columbias ... I can't support buying a shoe thts all white but turns all yellow in a year or two .

ive seen many anniversary XIs without yellowed PL and they were released 3 years ago, if you treat your shoes with some respect maybe they wouldnt look like crap after a year
 
Got a pair from 2000, I'll just rock em yellowed on the bottom. Can't go wrong with any pair of 11s, not partial to the lows though. Dont really like them.

They should but they won't...

"Poor" (and I use this word subjectively) performance of the Anniversary XI's got JB a little shook I think...That was a fairly limited shoe and it still took a little time for it to move in some markets...If JB want's to put out and sell the same numbers as they did with the recent release of the Black / Red's they need to get the hype machine running...

That's where we all come into play with threads like these...

It's a slow build but eventually the Columbia's will drop...
 
the shoe is very nice, but these yellow BAD. as a general rule of thumb i try to stay away from white patent leather.. yellow soles are not the end of the world, but when patent leather yellows.. good luck with that

Exactly. They will yellow eventually but you can slow the process tremendously.
 
The Columbia 11's is a must because of its rarity! Its true you don't see peeps out there rockin' a pair of Columbias like the Breds or Concords. When or if they do release, you better believe I'm doubling up! I had bought a used pair on Ebay and had the white patent leather restored. Came out pretty clean after a little sanding and buffing. A for sure cop!

Naw man. Looks fake to me. Spacing on 23 plus the yellowing of the patent don't seem right. I got OGs and they look nothing like those.
 
they definitely need the Colombia blue sole to be viable imo. clear isn't that good. to me concords are the best then colombias. If space jams had a royal sole I would say space jam is second.
