All the difference in the world. I would eat these up by the dozens.
Turq. inner lining is key.
But there are also a lighter swoosh and strap, and some other elements that need to be white to complete the package
What a shame NIKE. What a pitiful rotten move you all made with this release. I would work for minimum wage pushing out better stuff than the guys you have now.

The OG's used a durabuck/nubuck-type material as well...
But Wally's got it spot-on. Its quite frustrating cuz they're so close, but yet, all the little "minor" details are all wrong. It makes all the difference.

Those two combined would leave me homeless with all the heat in my shopping cart. I guess Nike doesnt want that... Yes, Im serious.
I get a smile just looking at the PS. So so close. Shape is on point. The layering of the upper. The strap was recreated from SCRATCH.

i have a feeling nike is gonna come through, look at the shape, its perfect, the materials look minty fresh and like i said i think they will pull through with the og colors. im stoked on the quality of this retro

this was my favorite nike trainer. i just dont understand why nike time and time again chooses to give us almost right colorways. if they release the white and turquoise pair correctly then i will cop but its looking like thats not going to happen

Sinnerp, Look at the strap and just to the left. That little white triangular type piece. Then look at the OG above me. The entire strap should be covering that space.
The whole forefoot is jacked up and I wouldnt care about none of that if it was the right colorway. But since it's not, why not nitpick the hell out of the design? I'm hungry but not hungry enough to be given crap and just accept it, like im seeing from other people across the internet on various forums.

^Looking at it closer you can see the cut-off for the velcro patch on the forefoot. It looks like the strap isn't properly 'seated' in the correct position when that photo was taken. If the strap were to line up correctly it looks like the plastic lace tab would be covered like the OG.
EDIT: played around with paint and the offset (in green) seem to match up. The red would be the approximate strap placement when corrected.

Good news/bad news. Just got word that the black/red and a white/carolina colorway have been cancelled. To me, it kinda sucks as I actually liked the black/reds, but I know a lot of you guys didn't. Just wanted to pass the news along.

Canceled as in, they know they were wrong and will be bringing out other colors ie, a DELAY? Or like other cancellations, "We're just moving on to the next shoe and not even releasing this one... at all"

Sounds like a good idea. To release that black red color way without a legit OG color way release is just an abomination. What would happen? The shoe would flop hard, and it would make it appear no one really wanted the shoe when thats not the case. Its really not that hard to make these just like the original, REALLY not that hard.
Once the original color's drop it gets you more excited about new color ways, its always been that way.
