FINALLY, A RETRO OF THE NIKE TRAINER SC II 3/4 DONE RIGHT!! THANK YOU NIKE! - Page 2

them things tight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK... So we have determined that these are:

a) "Fire"
b)"tight"
c) "go hard"
d) Qualify as "heaters"

& my personal favorite "ya dey spread"

Looks like Nike may release these based on the current popular opinion.

But seriously, Wally & trthousandgt, have you seen the amount of detail that is in the friggin heel counter alone on this shoe? Nike might just put sparkles on the strap, plaster patent on the uppers & straight kill the shoe. Give them a few years, at this rate they'll retro anything. I could name examples but you guys know what I'm talking about; they will retro obsure models but not listen to people on a webiste dedicated to their product...

I hope they come out eventually - one of the many cross trainers I could not afford in HS as an OG shoehead. Hope they come with a decent sized air bubble (word to MenOfOregon) tongue.gif

My favorite Trainers bar none

One the first nikes I ever bought. I hope they do retro these but in the OG colorways.

agreed. ds 2000's were going for close to 500 for quite some time. it fluctuates like everything. a retro would definitely see demand as long as the cw is appealing to non-trainer fans. the infrared-$%! would fly off the shelves just like everything with that name attached to it. infrared is nike's dream, it satisfies true fans while being attractive to those who could care less about the sc ii itself. just do it nike.

I was going to make this post the other day....a retro of these would be insane.

And ...the popularity could be created by NIKE again these days...

Just put a pair of SC IIs on "someone special" and let the rumors begin... Nike knows about this kind of things...

Anyway, my opinion is popularity (not hype) of a shoe comes from his quality.

i remember trying to turn that picture into a poster back in the day lol

^^^^^ laugh.gif i understand thats your opinion, but that makes no sense, Nike pumps out retro flops all day of shoes i can't recall being that sought after to begin with back in the day, this was a popular shoe when it dropped. This is just a dope dope shoe, I would like to be in my 20's when nike retro's this shoe for the first time, but the way they are going ill be in my 40's if that laugh.gif I did have two OG pairs but unfortunately they were not wearable, and its about that time for a re-release of these.
Its sad how we practically beg nike to release some of their best models from the past. I hope someone at nike can bring out a few of these models and keep them as close to the OG as possible. I know its a big request there is enough of a market to where they can make money and we can get the shoes we want.
Had these my freshman year of HS!

my holy grail.
Nike could easily create a new brand or a new line just to release OG products exactly like they were first time.

Something like "Nike elements" or "Nike collectors".
One pair per month in OG colors and materials. High prices and limited releases. Maybe just online shopping for members ...

Just an idea...
Those kicks are classic, I'd drop retail for a white/grey pair.
Wow...I completely forgot those kicks even existed. Man the neon/teal joints are ridiculous. I think I like them better than the infrared version. Is that niketalk sacrilege?

The 90's decade was Nike's Best.

Shoes such as these need to be Retroed and along with Air Carnivores, Barrages and Pressures

Opinions about this shoe aside...

[super-duper mega PAUSE] I really enjoyed the thick/padded tongue used on these, SC Hi's and the BW, Jordan 5, etc... [/super duper-mega PAUSE]

That's probably why all 4 are some of my favorites from that era.

One of the reasons I've stopped buying Nikes completely is that they wont retro this shoe....but do them properly one more time and its an instant cop....

not bad, especially the infrareds, but nike prob. doesn't think there's a high demand for these. and they're prob. right. these would be on sale everywhere. still nice tho.

Yeah. No demand for these... On sale everywhere... Not like ATCs, Trainer IIIs or Digs, for example, they sold everyone on release day!

Good point about the Air Digs...if they retro that shoe out of no where I can't see why they won't retro these. Guess that's the reason Nike laid-off a bunch of sales and marketing people recently. They need to get some people back into the company who really have a passion for shoes...
