Waka is one of the best interviews in the business. It's a big difference from when he first came out. At first listening to his music, and seeing his interviews I thought he was a ******. I didn't really start playing attention to Waka until he was working with Ra Diggs and Uncle Murda. Then he was on No Hands which blew up. You really couldn't deny that song.
I'm glad he mentioned watching people and how they treat others is how they'll eventually treat you, no matter how close you think you are. I'm a big believer in that.
I don't have a problem with anything he said. I think a lot of it has to do with how Waka and Nicki became bigger than he was. He has himself to blame with that, dude would spend half the year locked for the past five years.

Yep, Gucci was going to blow up just off the aura of the stuff with Jeezy. He stunted his own growth, by constantly violating his probation. Just like he did last week. Dude can't tour like a normal artist, because he has to ask his PO and probably can't leave the country. He's left a lot of money on the table.

"Oh lets do it" Waka first single that got radio play was spreading through the south in early spring (March or April) 09 and then Gucci seen that it had momentum behind it and added it to his mixtape "The movie pt 2" that drop in late July 09 as a bonus track at end of the mixtape. Gucci didn't put him on to me.
He was only on one of Gucci's mixtape before that (the writing on the wall) and he was only on one song under the feature name bricksquad not waka.
Waka already had two club hits without Gucci on them is what people are forgetting.
To me putting someone on is what Cam did with dipset.

You're delirious if you think Gucci didnt'nt put waka on. I said it earlier in this thread, but waka couldn't even close out clubs before Gucci put oh let's do it on the movie. What 2 other club hits did he have at that time? I was in the A, and the hottest artist were Money, Young LA, Rich Kids, while Wop was booked.
Scooter even has an interview explaining how Gucci put him on, by putting him on highly anticipated tapes, and having Gucci fans become his fans.

False, between Waka's mom and uncle Cory Rooney, he had plenty of connections to get on without Gucci.
Gucci helped, but some of you act like his family isn't in the music or street business. Find out who Waka's uncles are.

Since his mom was Gucci's manager and Gucci used his moms connections in the industry to get on, I'm not sure how anyone can say it.
Deb did Gucci a favor by having Waka under Gucci, because what was Bricksquad besides Waka? Nobody else has sold any records. Some of these dudes act like Bricksquad is Young Money or Maybach. Bricksquad would be Gucci and a bunch of mixtape artist nobody cares about if it wasn't for Waka. Even Frenchie has more buzz than the rest of the dudes.

He put Juice on too, and he was also in Jail when Juice was blowing. OJ was on Jadakiss album, song with R KELLY, he was on his way up until that wutang show killed his spirit and he stopped caring. And thats when Waka came in and took over.
