real talk: why do black athletes go with white girls ??

1. Why does it matter? Are you insinuating that this is wrong or unnatural?

2. The obvious answer would be that if you are a rich, good looking professional athlete you can pretty much choose any girl that is single. Chances are thatyou will never have a problem meeting females. So, since white women make up the majority of women in America it only makes sense that you would end up with awhite woman. Am I right?

3. Im sure most black athletes do not have a problem with interracial dating, and the ones that do are probably with a black girl. I would like to believe thatit is not a race thing you know? I doubt black athletes go around looking for white women because they are easy or they dislike black women. Its a love thingnot a race thing.

We are all humans despite the color of our skin. I really believe interracial procreation is beautiful. It is a true sign of evolution of our society and theend of racism and should actually be encouraged, never taboo or looked down upon. To be blunt, if you have a problem with people being colorblind when it comesto choosing a partner then you my friend are a true RACIST.

I also believe that for years the media has brainwashed us all to find lighter skin more attractive. Its deep rooted in slavery and its a horrible horriblething but unfortunatley we have given the media the power to affect us in almost every aspect of our lives, especially our standard of beauty.

For me it's not necessarily that...I don't like that there's this image is that if you are a successful black man that you have tohave a white wife. Then the question becomes if she is with him for his success/money and why is it socially acceptable to be a gold digging white women butif black women are gold diggers she's all this and that. Everytime this +@#% comes up, there's always somebody coming to quick conclusions and trying to emasculate the black man...which BTW was a tradition inslave owners' houses. Black men's power and masculinity is a threat to some...and they want to strip them of it in anyway possible. Funny how all the blame is placed on the men when nobody even mentions the kind of standards black women hold us up to and how our youth differs from othercultures when it comes to relationships. You can only look at "our" music, media, literature, and social norms to see how they differ from othergroups and what kind of resentment could possibly arise from that.

I'll generalize just to keep it going : Black women hate black men because they can't be faithful to jumpoffs and don't treat them how beyonce saysthey should be treated. Black men hate black women because they won't STHU. Plus they tell them they have to work extra hard for a "diva", due tothe fact that black women are "the type to get chose" and they get the most, not the lesser.

Of course, I am joking with that last paragraph, but there is a small ounce of truth in what I wrote....media creating biases and fantasies in our minds...andultimately resentment towards one another. Look at white teens and what music "they" listen to...compare Taylor Swift VS Beyonce for their younggirls...songs like "I needa Soulja" aren't found in white pop music. That doesn't mean they don't listen to"black music"though...[sorry for generalizing]

I mean I think it's funny how some of yall say us race-mixers act like we're "too good" for black girls and are on a high horse...when allour lives we've been told that "n_ ain't shhh" and some of us were raised by only a woman who might just have a grudge against men..wheredoes that grudge get passed down to? I'm co-signing with HarlemKickDiva to a point about the "hatred". As sad as it may seem...that's exactly what it is. But it's notnecessarily a black man or a black woman problem specifically. It's a problem among all of us. A foundational belief deeply embedded within us to hateourselves. Look at the African-American vs. African thread from the other day. There's this extreme divide within us and it's very sad.

this is my personal opinion so yea:
the problem is that black women soemtimes have unrealistic expectations for their men, they make it overly difficult for the black men they deal with, theygenerally give off this attitude that they dont need a man...

and

the problem is that black men also have unrealistic expectations for their women, we also make it very difficult for black women to deal with us, dont treatour women the way we should, & are more focused on physical features as opposed to whats on the inside...

Keep your love. Real talk. Down right disrespectful toboth black and white women. This is why some white women know they can play black men that think like this and to be quite honest NO HATE OVER HERE when thegame goes down on that playing field. You know what is sad is that if said athletes didn't have that money those white girls they meet in that environment would probably not bethere unless they were there from the beginning and those black athletes KNOW that so they overcompensate like crazy and never really feel secure. It's sadbut funny to me which is why I just chuckle once and go on about my business. GOD FORBID the athlete gets injured andcan't play at all...

Okay, i understand where u are coming from obviously society holds white women on a higher pedistal then black women... Somehow some black men have bought intothis lie and therefore feel like having a white woman is "moving up". But does this bother me no and i dont think it should bother anyone else.
