IMO lebron looks up to mj that's why he wears his number. bron doesn't make himself to be more than mj unlike kobe that always seems to try to breakout of mj's shadow. that's just the way it seems to me. oh yeah, skill level wise i rate lebron to be as good as mj but lacks the drive to be thebest that mj and kobe both have.....

its easy to win championships with shaq as kobe and wade and now maybe lebron as its more difficult with "scottie pippen?"
kobe winning 3 title with shaq shows nothing of his achievement as a contributor and his significant role in winning those three titles. i even know scottiepippen would win three titles with shaq. kobe is only able to put up three fingers because of shaq.
also kobe only was able to win his fourth because lamar, bynum, and gasol was able to do what shaq did for him dominate the paint, rebound all of kobes bricks,and have interior scoring. all of which mj never had rebounders until rodman. mj brought only his game and toughness and thats all the bulls needed to win. allkobe brings is hype while shaq, lamar, bynum, and gasol does all the real work just like what REAL MEN do while everyone hypebeast over a wannabe greatplayer.....

its crazy how Kobe generated soooooo much hate 2 years ago but iono what happened maybe he finally started passing the ball but now everyone is hanging on hisballs.....either way great player and great thread

the only difference of kobe before and now is the spacing of his teammates. if the defense stays true and not double then kobe 90% of the time eats themalive(except when the team is in desperate need of a bucket) and when the defense starts to double then kobes teammates know how to move succesfully and score.
i would say the offense of the lakers still starts inside with gasol, bynum, and lamar and then their three point shooting. after they establish their interiorgame this is when they include kobe in the plays one on one scoring with post plays free throw range for kobe to score. so the offense is still similar as whenshaq played except now they use three players that shaq did for himself.
if it wasn't for shaq kobe would only have one ring.
if it wasn't for lamar, gasol, bynum kobe would only have no ring.
kobe without a team with inside game close to the hoop kobe would have "0" rings.

As a fan of basketball, i'm not a big Kobe fan but I have to respect his skill and what he does and that I do. There is not much you can take away from him

i think he is good. i just think he is waaaay overrated and the nba hypes him up just to make money off his publicity. his game is as fake as wrestling whenyou compare him to the players in the jordan era. the only reason he sticks out now is everyone else is trash and would get there rear handed to them if theplay the players of the jordan era(bird, magic, barkley, reggie, mj, dominique, kemp, etc.). other than that the only players that stick out to be consideredas great are shaq and duncan......

and the competition when jordan played was tougher and more contact was allowed, but kobe's playing against smarter defenses now with zones and collapsingzones.

i think thats another reason i don't like kobe is cuz he's too soft and relies on his outside game more than penetrating even though he has bothstyles......

Honestly, all the Kobe stans give true Kobe Bryant Fans (like me) a bad name....
Ive been a Kobe fan all my life, but Kobe is NOT the best ever, he is NOT better than Jordan. He IS, however, the best player in the world right now
And for the haters, there really isnt any reason to hate Kobe anymore....hes not arrogant or selfish, hes a solid team player on offence and defense...What isthere to hate? Other than the 4 rings and the fact that cleveland couldnt beat orlando...

first smart kobe fan i've seen in here......i give this man credit.....i'll even admit Kobe is a phenom and has crazy game......but theres alot ofphenoms in the league and they have crazy game. Kobe dont stand out as an MJ more like a D Wayed or Anfernee Hardway.
And theres nothing to really hate him......except the case he almost caught, the number change, and buying off his wife. You gotta think Michael Jackson paidoff his accuser and he was labeled guilty. Kobe is no diff. And you gotta admit the man is alittle arrogant and selfish. I'll even admit Michael Jordan wasarrogant not selfish. But not nearly as arrogant as Kobe.
