Glad I held off on listening to the leak and staying out of this thread for 2 weeks. Just bought the Deluxe from iTunes and I really enjoyed it after 1 listen. Maybe 1-2 songs I'm not feeling, but will probably grow on me. I also agree with what was said above...besides Power Trip and Crooked Smile, this really doesn't have any other radio singles. One thing that surprised me is how much I like "LAnd of the snakes" and "Forbidden Fruit". I normally don't like songs that sample classics, but those 2 joints were dope to me. Glad I spent my 13.99 on this instead of 'Ye.
 
Downloaded the leak about a week ago. Very solid album. Cole fans from 09 just know his potential so we have such a high bar raised for him; nevertheless, this is a good body of work. just got the official album today.. The 4 bonus tracks make this album EVEN better, surprised some weren't on the original track list

Just listened to the album, im a 09er too and I have no idea where the negative views are coming from. Yall gotta stop comparing mixtapes to albums and I think this squats all over Sideline Story. My dude Cole has grown so much from an album standpoint, he's rapping better and the production was great for this album. CW came out and all I heard was it was too commercial and now Cole drops a project that says "screw the formula" and he still gets bashed for it, dude can't win. Yall also made it seem like he was dropping Jay's name like Game does Dre's and that's far from the truth :lol: I agree with those saying this has a more mature sound to it and I appreciate Cole just letting loose. Born Sinner sounds like Cole had weight lifted off his shoulders. Smooth album.

Sidenotes:
-Crooked Smile is a good song but im not really a fan of it
-Forbidden Fruit has me hyped for the joint album with K. Dot and he didn't even have a verse :lol:
-Villuminati :wow: Cole aint eem care about feelings on that joint :x
-Let Nas Down :pimp: you could hear the heart in that record
-Woulda been nice to have a 50 verse on New York Times but that hook had a GRODT vibe to it (come at me bros :lol:), Bas was out of place on the record
-Is She Gon Pop is kinda wack to me

Can't wait to get my deluxe copy when Best Buy opens
 
Copped on itunes at midnight. I'll hit best buy up during my lunch to buy one deluxe and one standard. Let's shock the world!
