[:: J. COLE THREAD | DREAMVILLE's ROTD3 ALBUM OUT NOW!! ::]

Man I hope Cole works with Just Blaze on the next album. I think he would just float all over that production
I really don't want him working with anyone else...keep the production to himself.

If he does work with another producer, keep it to a minimum like Cole World. Maybe 1 or 2 tracks.

I feel like he does need some variation. Born Sinner was basically one pace all the way through.

Cole World had some change of pace songs, but this time it was all pretty much the same energy all the way through.

He needs some peaks (IE Rise and Shine). More moments like villuminati would have been great. He can do that himself, but I feel like when he does it all himself he gets into a groove and a mood and it doesn't change much. Outside producers would keep him on his toes and open to a different mood/pace here and there.

QFT, I really want to hear him on a just blaze beat. HE murders those soulful type of beats

So I finally listened to the whole album. It's a solid effort but I feel like it has no replay value. Like ya'll said it holds onto one level of pacing, kinda like your listening to one extended song. He definitely has his moments where he stands out and impresses me but I feel like more can be done. I think he's on the right path overall though, it's an improvement from Sideline Story

NO ID and Just Blaze would be dope.

Maybe 9th Wonder.
Yeah, No ID was on Cole World.

It's just that a few tracks by different producers can be out of place, and I heard Timbo saying he gave Cole beats, but it wouldn't have fit the album imo. I could see him giving a beat similar to Ain't That Some ****, but that's about it.

The only thing I want from Cole at this point is more aggression and lil cockiness. I want him to flex his skills a lil more, he can do this and still be humble.

timbo wanted to work with cole on born sinner too... i could hear cole going in on some timbo bangers. it would've definitely give the album more variety.

cole is a good producer, but i agree with the last few posts about mixing things up a little bit. no i.d. & just blaze would help him shake things up if they added a couple songs on a cole project for sure.

But you too young for the settle down...

I heard Diddy went up to K.Dot and tried to throw a drink on him because of his Control verse and J.Cole stepped in between the two.
