I just don't think Yeezus is anything more than an average album that's a mess with too many sounds to be cohesive. 

I like my albums to have a general theme or at least unified sound, which is why I'm such a huge Kanye fan, but this album is all over the place. Whereas Cole's album has a general theme and, though I would change the order of some of the songs, flowed better than Kanye's.

Kind of wish he would've taken a different route with this album. Album is painfully boring with only three standout tracks, and that's being generous.

Power Trip is arguably one of the best tracks on here, smh. I'll support next go round.

Strangely, I'm anticipating Drake's album now because this was such a let down. Cole's story needs more to it it can't be that much of a spin cycle when you're rich.

A lot of people have given Trouble, Forbidden Fruit and Let Nas Down some love. What about Born Sinner? I can't get enough of that hook!

Yeah, Fauntelroy delivers on that, you should check Cocaine 80s too

Saw some are saying Yeezus may do 500k :x if so that'll smoke Cole but I think he'll do better this round than on CW which did ~215k or something, maybe Cole can get close to 300k week 1 that'd be dope

I agree on this. It's a cool album, I think I don't like this as much though cause I can't really relate as much as The Warm Up.
I'ma just put this on ice for a couple weeks to let it sink in and then relisten, usually when I do that I appreciate the music more. Might work for some of y'all too.

This album is really good for a hip-hop purist. There are days I love this album and there are days I'm semi-bored of it. But it has some replay value so far, been revisiting it at least once a day.

On a serious note though, one day I hate it, the next it's ok. My bm likes it a lot though.

IMO the last 5 songs on Yeezus are more entertaining than this whole album...

They'll both do well, sales wise this week though. I won't be buying either, as I've paid to see each live before & am a struggling parent of 3... sawey

Yeezus is so much trash. Funny thing is dude was actually spittin on some of those songs. Just the beats on that album I can't rock with. Not my type of music at all.

i listened to born sinner once and didnt wanna listen to it again. maybe ill try it one more time but so far i like yeezus more.

I can now play this CD straight through, last week when I first got it I was critical of the Hov references.

Not so bad now. But if its a drawback to the album that would be it, but otherwise it's more mature sounding than SS.

Great album.

Just listen to the subject matter, and I don't like listening to a dude talk about eating ***, and doing all this other counterproductive stuff.

Kanye at this point in his career is being counterproductive. The subject matter on Yezzus is telling of his carelessness attitude towards the culture.

J Cole respects the culture and movement of hip hop. That's what I feel more than anything about Born Sinner.

At a time when it's easy to make funny style music, he's being honest to himself, and more importantly to his fans that grew with him in spirit of hip hop.

Been holding off on the album but cant wait to cop Tuesday. Anxious to hear the track on TY3 with Jhene Aiko. I didnt discover her until she was on Kendrick's Growing apart. She has always been a good feature imo on the songs i've heard from her with other rappers (drake: july; wale: cool off; big sean: im gonna be; kendrick lamar: growing apart)

All my friends that have listened to BS early have told me that it's fire, and I've seen nothing but love from the twitter reviews so we'll see.
