[:: J. COLE THREAD | DREAMVILLE's ROTD3 ALBUM OUT NOW!! ::]

Didn't like Chris Tucker.....at all. Sounds like Cole trying wayyy to hard.

Everything else is straight tho. Especially Kenny Lofton, didn't expect to hear Jeezy, he meshed well with the song tho.

Looking forward to the alubm.

Agreed I also didn't care for Head Bussa but the EP is ok. I think Your Truly 1 had stronger songs where I could see why these are clearly throwaways.

Man Cole got personal with this one especially with 3 Wishes. That being said, tape is fire Kenny Lofton and Cousins

.   Kenny could be a single IMO but if this is whats to come my body is ready....

3 wishes really hits home, being as my best friend is doing a 41 year bid.

The news called him all kinds of names, but he really was a good dude that just did some bad things.

I wonder if k dot and him are still making that album together, that was rumored last year
Nonetheless this is what we need in hip hop right now, hell all of music right now

Yeah it's still in the works but its not a priority since there both busy. I'm sure after Coles album drops and Kendrick finishes his tour they will put it out.

:lol: At this point Kendrick would gain nothing from putting an album out with Cole.. he knows that, Dre knows that, everyone around him knows that.

It's not about gaining anything but it would be refreshing at least to me for two of my favorite young artist
I mean CRS never materialized
Ye=on one
P=not really producing as much as he used to
Lupe= still like his music but something is missing
Really wanted that to happen, just like this but it probably won't
Just miss how artist collaborated in the 80s-90s to put out that quality work we desperately need

sad :smh:

dudes talkin about what artists have to gain as far as a collab.

what about doing it for the sake of some good music to listen to?

truth hurts man. wish it was like that but at the end of the day its the music business

Love the line on Chris Tucker

"You so tall, what team you on?"

"No B I'm a DOCTOR"

:pimp:

Only thing on TY2 I'm really not feeling is Jeezy's flow.>D

Exactly. I wasn't saying it wouldn't be good music, I'm saying don't hold your breath if you really expect that to happen.

Kendrick and Cole are on different labels, there's a ton of behind the scene politics that would get in the way of them doing a collab. It's not just like "Oh ___ is my boy, we're gonna record an album together" and that **** just materializes out of thin air.

This may be true, but they should be able to have a bigger input collabs. But last night my university had a Kendrick Lamar concert and j Cole made a surprised guess performance and did power trip for the heck of it

I expect their collab "album" to happen but I am not at all eager for them to drop everything that they are doing individually and work on it. I feel like it is more of a timing thing than anything else. I honestly think any notion of either of them having something to gain from going forward w the collab is minimal as hell. Ppl use ppl in the music biz all the time but I don't think that them collabin is in that vein.
