[:: J. COLE THREAD | DREAMVILLE's ROTD3 ALBUM OUT NOW!! ::]

Kendrick and Cole are going to drop that collab once both of them have MADE IT.
Cole had success with his first album, but judging by the fact that he hasn't been on any of MTV's Top 10 Hottest MC lists...
He hasn't quite made the kinda noise he's capable of.

Once he does, Kendrick is ready. They put that album out with the perfect timing and it's the new generation's "WTT."
Obviously, not saying they will be as big as Jay and Kanye, i'm just saying the hype surrounding the project will be similar to that of a WTT once they both achieve a little bit more individually.

Rumblings on twitter is that Def Jam confirmed Ye album is dropping 6.18...

Unfortuantley thats def gon impact Cole shine man... Hope the album is strong enough to hold its own and not get completely overlooked. Kinda effed up on Ye part if u ask me...

I don't know, the way ye has been rapping lately and all this kk stuff will definately impact his sells
I think j.cole has "made" it in my eyes
I mean his light is not as big as k.dot( but you got to remember gaga and dre consigning helped) and how Hov doesn't even give him shout outs( I know cole doesn't care plus that 16 he did for him has to be one of the weakest features he has done since food and liquor)
I think they could still pull this album off and it would impact the landscape of hip hop
And cole will still do numbers amongst his fans
So he will be good

Kinda late, just listened to the whole joint . Whole EP was :smokin

Head Bussa and Kenny Lofton on some heavy rotation today.

Man that's lame if Kanye really puts his **** out a week before Cole. You would think him and Jay actually talk about this kinda stuff. Like you really gonna take my artists shine away? I know he's his own man and has a baby comin and everything, but if Jay really you're brother why would you purposely put yourself in a decision to take any kind Of success away from his best artist?

Why not 6/11 or 6/25? Really a week before tho?

I don't believe that it'll be coming that soon, not enough time to build the buzz even with the SNL finale. But if it's true, that's lame as hell. :smh:

Been bumpin the EP non stop :smokin Love the balance between the smooth tracks & the bangers on here.

His sample game was on point too :nthat:

The collab project will come, it may be a mixtape like it was originally planned but it will come. Remember k.dot said he had no plans on starting in his sophomore album anytime soon which gives plenty of time for them to work after Cole's album tour later this year.

Truly Yours 2 is dope AF...Also Ye album will NOT drop in june, just watch...

Ye at this point in his career and the anticipation for this project especially, could drop an album on iTunes tomorrow with no promo and it would still do crazy numbers. He's beyond singles and promo/radio runs.

I almost wished he did that, I wish I just woke up one day in June with the Ye album on iTunes randomly.

But if it does come out, tough break for Cole and Wale.

i agree 100%. its good to see dudes in my generation blow up.
You're telling me. I saw Cole in 2010 at a tiny venue, 18 dollar tickets... MAYBE 100 people showed up. He's come a long way.
damn you sure it was 2010, i remember listening to him back then after the XXL cover with him, wiz, and big sean (looking back that was a pretty good class) and remembering his name from BP3 and thinking i was late, and that he already was pretty popular

Cole and Kendrick should save that album for a while when they both haven't had any material out for a while . . . no need to over saturate . . .

At this point I would whether have the " over saturate" then not do it at all
To me rap is lacking seriously
We are "over saturated " with all this fake trap/twerk/trill music
Why not let these boys cook whether it is a mix tape or not?

GKMC was his second album.  First was Section 80.  Do yourself a huge favor and check that if you haven't already.

And the collab album won't be coming anytime soon.  If you remember, when they first announced it, it was supposed to be called Born Sinner.  So they've obviously scrapped the idea or postponed it for a later date.

I'm sure it's already made or at least they have enough quality tracks to throw together 12 tracks in a worse case scenario, i was just saying, if i were them, i wouldn't want to drop born sinner, then the joint album right after, and now they're both dry, off the radar for the next year or so

Ummm im not new to Section.80, that was his independent album and GKMC was his first studio album (major label) which is considered his first album.

Nobody said it was coming out soon, Cole has already stated that they are going to get to work to finish it after his album is released (assuming after tours also). I've never heard that the joint album was ever called Born Sinner.

Cousins is :pimp: and I take back what I said about Head Bussa....that joint grew on me. It was on repeat non-stop today. I am looking forward to 6/25 despite knowing Power Trip will be an auto-skip on the album. *prays it is a bonus track*
