[:: J. COLE THREAD | DREAMVILLE's ROTD3 ALBUM OUT NOW!! ::]

I could see Ye dropping his album in June... As mentioned, he's at a point where he doesn't have to do a huge promo run for his work. I mean, he tweets 2 words & look at the buzz its caused  Either way though, this upcoming SNL performance will serve as a huge opportunity to promote a new single & a couple weeks would serve as enough time for a single to do work before an album release. Sucks it had to be around the same time as Cole, though :\

Going through the EP now... Very nice so far :smokin

Yo is that your twitter?

Nah that's not me  My Twitter's in my profile

Ummm im not new to Section.80, that was his independent album and GKMC was his first studio album (major label) which is considered his first album.

Nobody said it was coming out soon, Cole has already stated that they are going to get to work to finish it after his album is released (assuming after tours also). I've never heard that the joint album was ever called Born Sinner.

Section.80 is his first studio album.

studio album is not what major label album means.

just sayin.

Section.80 is NOT his first studio album. If that's the case O.D. Was his first album because he sold that also. He has even stated that Section.80 wasn't his debut album, he said it was just a warm up to his debut. GKMC is his first and debut album major label or not.

Don't want to turn this into a Kendrick thread, but was tired of hearing this.

lol. he can say what he wants, but by definition it's a studio album.

i don't really care either way, i'm just saying what it is.

So Overly Dedicated was his debut then. All original material and sold on iTunes just like Section.80.

eh. it's also on HotNewHipHop and DatPiff and every blog it was on gave the free link and called it a mixtape.

so yeah. you're right. technically speaking. Kendrick is on his 4th album.

but if everyone is calling it a mixtape then it's gonna be called a mixtape.

hell, some sites had Section.80 labeled "mixtape"

it's just a matter of what the general public says to most people, though. and to the general public: GKMC is his first and only studio album.

Basically the point I was getting at was that GKMC was his first album.

Young Simba. Head Bussa is so ill. Had to be a sample clearance issue; if it's a quality decision then great things are to come. Whole tape bangs.

Are you guys really arguing about Kendrick Lamar's albums in a Cole thread? :smh:

you've been on NT since 2005

you know just like we do that there is no thread out there that doesn't get even partially derailed.

just don't join in on our silly conversation.

just scroll right on past it

I had literally no idea that Truly Yours 2 dropped until right now

Oh well listening now.

Kenny Lofton is incredible :x :pimp: :pimp: :pimp:

J. Cole ep feels more complete than most artists mixtapes they put out now a days. Def looking forward to Born Sinner!!!

I hope Cole brings quality with Born SInner. This EP was half dope, half meh to me. I used to be the biggest Cole fan. I've said this a million times on NT, but seeing him live before he blow up was one of the best shows I've been to. To me though, his replay value to me with his newer music isn't as high as it once was. I hope this changes.

I need some more tracks like Return of Simba :smokin
