Okay so let me get this right.
The album's reviewing well.
He managed to keep the music true and not try to fit a mold.
He produced like 90% of it.
He sold more the first day than most artists do their first week.
What else is there to say?

Anyways, the album does have sort of a sad undertone. Especially on Sideline Story (Favorite track BTW).
I didn't expect him to do as well though. I think that last minute "Feat. Trey Songz" Vid gave him that extra push.

im just happy that it's doing so well and that means there will be album 2.
thats when we are really going to find out what kid is made of
let him live for a minute yeah I agree it lacks some shock value sometimes
so he sings his own hooks a lot you can get tired of his voice i get it
but think of 90-95% or rappers debut, they fail
you dudes act like Nas Jay and Kanye are just the rule dropping classics out the gate
for every Illmatic there are 1,000 Attention Deficits maybe/probably many more
yeah this !$@! aint Illmatic but its far from a brick
we should all be happy for dude and looking forward to the future

I know some of that comes from a combative effort to those that say Cole is the "one" but my gaaaawd
if u breakdown the number of ppl that dislike cole and his music to the ppl that are saying he is the best rapper in the game right now and yall shud bow down n like him. The dislikers numbers are far more. General fans of Cole dont even be OD with the props like that imo.
But yet "dislikers" feel extremely threatened and annoyed and must argue and repeat themselves over and over again on how much they dont like him and then go even further and say you shouldn't like him either.

Ppl are secret fans man the people arguing probably bought the cd. Same with the ppl saying he had no buzz and would flop. Stay out of the thread if you dislike the music. I would much rather hear good news about Cole than hear yall talking about how average he is or how much yall dislike him.

^ for first day sale its good. but yea if it was the whole week then...yeah.
for all these dudes sayin its only because hes affiliated with roc nation, its not like its that big of a deal, really. its not like jay-z been out here tryin to sell him like hes the best ever, he barely says anything about him. cole barely talks about it too, its other people that bring it up. wiz could hype up chevy woods...and no one would care. wayne could tell us that lil twist is the next him...but no one would cop. cole has a real fan base, and you need some skill and cant just be mediocre to do that. big sean affiliated with kanye couldnt even do that well, but did as expected. i was honestly expecting big sean numbers.....now cole might do cudi numbers. and for as big as wiz was doin on the radio, he barely got 200k. cole with no radio push at all could get pretty damn close to that.

props on the album sales.. glad to see Cole is actually seeing some success. The album however..i've listened to it maybe 10x through (to really give a fair unbiased review) last week when it leaked and I haven't played it since. Like others have been stating it's so mediocre and disappointing. I had hopes of a better album.
