[:: J. COLE THREAD | DREAMVILLE's ROTD3 ALBUM OUT NOW!! ::]

Cole killed it with TLC!

The production quality is on point for Crooked Smile. This is what we should have been hearing on Sideline Story.

Nice to see the thread buzzin again.
Cole quietly playing chess with these strategic releases... Had twitter trending world wide...got the blogs goin crazy...

A new Billboard article and magazine cover released today as well...

Promo is lookin good.
Power Trip is officially a #1 hit on Rhythmic Radio... Crooked Smile most likely will be released to radio and iTunes tomorrow...

This dude lookin like he about to do 300k his first week honestly. :pimp:

I'm probably in the minority with this one, but I'm not feeling it at all.  Doesn't even have that "dark" vibe he was talking about, sounds like a church song to me.  Would've taken Cole Summer, Kenny Lofton, Head Bussa, or Cousins over this on Born Sinner...

Understandble but he stated the album goes from depression to happiness or whatever... The vid posted a page or so back is were he explains it. I would actually apply your comment to N' Know, even tho I like the song... I don't see it's place on the album w/o a set up skit or something.

I'm sure there will be 8-10 better SONGS on the album.

But this is the best 2nd single he could of given the radio stations if you know what I mean. The best songs aren't always the best choices for singles.

Look at Miss America. Cole hadn't gone so hard on a song like that in years. But it just DIdnt appeal to the masses. Too much truth and depressing lines for people to wanna listen to on the radio on their way to work.

People want cheerful, happier songs on the radio...and iTunes sales reflect that.

So for people who get the albums,
We'll hear MUCH better songs than Crooked Smile. Much more darker, much more real Cole...But probably not many that would be better singles.

Gave in and listened since its the second single.. Song is good. Def feel that college dropout vibe.. :smokin

This will be the last song I hear off the album until I have it in my hands come June 18th

Dude's getting that Perez Hilton promotion with this single...
What a SMART choice putting TLC on this track.
Perez reaches MILLIONS of people.
Not to mention...he liked it, so you know all the birds following Perez's suggestions are going to give it a listen.

Free promotion for the single, and a free mention of the album dropping on June 18th by one of the most viewed websites on the internet?

Golden. :nthat:

I did the same and caved in. Good song...I dig the vibe as well!!

Glad to see he's getting great feedback off of Crooked Smile. I want to see BS be successful SOOOO bad. People have got to stop sleeping on Cole.

For all you true Cole fans...

This is basically an extension of 'Losing Your Balace.' I feel like Cole is giving us hidden sequels... So far Power Trip and Crooked Smile are both extensions of previous songs. :pimp:

If you haven't heard that yet, it's a bonus from The Warm Up. Give it a listen, similar message. It's dope. :pimp:

I am holding out listening to this 2nd single but hearing this is tempting. "Losing Your Balance" is definitely one of my favorite Cole songs.

This

TLC feature with a College Dropout feel though? Can't wait to hear this :pimp:

I tried so hard not to listen to "Crooked Smile" but when I seen TLC on the track I just had to. Joint is smooth tho and I'm glad I checked it out.
