[:: J. COLE THREAD | DREAMVILLE's ROTD3 ALBUM OUT NOW!! ::]

I prefer MCHG to this, however I wouldn't complain/argue if someone called Born Sinner Album of the Year. I'm still not that much of a fan of it minus a few records, but I recognize that it is a very solid body of work.

Big Sean and Drake will overtake him for AOTY though...Yes Big Sean. He's making some great music right now. Wouldn't even be surprised if he ended up with the best rap record for the year.

WHOA WHOA WHOA. I'm a Big Sean fan.... but rap album of the year...... that's an outlandish statement.

Sorry, I don't know why this just posted a billion times.... :rolleyes

Easily AOTY right now.

Still got a few months to see what else drops though, but Cole got it.

:pimp:

No sir.
I've never felt more robbed than when I purchased that damn Finally Famous album, outside of the two or three songs that were on previous tapes this album was BEYOND cold garbage... BEYOND. Tried to play it again a few months ago, TRASH B.

Don't even put him in the same sentence as Cole, disrespectful.

All i'm saying is "Hall of Fame." Y'all will see. I too wasn't too enthused with Finally Famous but his features have been off the charts since then imo and Detroit would have been a great album. The music he's been making since his first album has been flames.

"FIRE" is ok... but after "Switch Up" (an album filler) "GUAP" (subpar "lead" single) and him not capitalizing on songs like "Mula" and the song he did with Aiko...idkkk

Not really sold on Big Sean right now.

sounds like you just have a personal preference towards what he's making, because you going a little overboard

Your statement is a contradiction though. How can I be going overboard on something that is my personal preference as you said  ?

And I thought Guap and Switch Up were pretty bad, didn't like them one bit. But his last body of work combined with some of his features from the past year plus gives me good reason to think he's going to put out a great album. Also heard some really good things about his album from the listening session this past week.

I was able to get lower lodge for SF show... They didn't even let me get two. Now I'm reconsidering cause I'm not even tryna sit by myself lol. All my friends are on the upper lodge, worse comes to worse, I might just switch with someone at the show

I got uppers for the 10/27 show also. Kinda pissed they added another show, i would've just waited to get GA tix for it if i knew another show was being added.

46.50

Tix sold out so fast, they added a second show in SF on 10/28!

When I was looking for my venue they were like 65 for decent lower level. Considering last time I saw him it was in an all General Admission venue and tickets were 25, I don't think he's that much more popular now than he was then, but maybe I'm wrong.
