I'm actually happy that Ol Man Jigga hasn't cosigned J. Cole yet. I'm fine with the lack of bandwagon posts in here.
 
real talk though

this thread is 17 pages and the Drake thread is about 400

I think Drake is horrible and really a joke but Wayne backed him and so he gets fans and everyone thinks Drake is just hard

If Jay did the same with J Cole this thread would be 500+ pages with people saying he is hip hops new savior

I respect though that Jay wants dude to earn it himself and in the long run I believe you will be hearing J Cole's name more than Drake being a flash in the pan. So dont get down on dude for there being no hype and also realize why the Drake hype is what it is.

I don't understand how Drake come up so much in a J. Cole thread...

Only similarities I see in them is that their new artists, but both are coming from a different perspective which makes it pointless imo to compare them...

True. Speaking of Hov, Wale was recently interviewed in VIBE saying he gets to talk to Jay more than anyone else. As Roc Nation's first artist, what's your relationship like with him?
I don't even speak to him close to that much. I'm all about…you earn %+#*. Even though I signed that deal, you ain't going to catch me in every picture throwing up…

Yeah and just eating off that brand. That time is going to come. They put in years worth of work to build that up and it would be phony for me to just come in because I got signed and now the next day I'm so Roc'd out. Nah. You have to earn the right to be Jay's friend. He has to be impressed with you as a person. He's not obligated to hang out with you now that you're signed to his label. I mean a year from now who knows what %+#* will be like. So I speak to Jay when it's necessary and when it's appropriate.
