[:: J. COLE THREAD | DREAMVILLE's ROTD3 ALBUM OUT NOW!! ::]

lowkey, but the more i listen, the more i can feel it

the beat- sound a lot like the kanye Power claps

the chorus- disgusting remind me of the chorus of Monster

the lyrics - he had about one hot line about "I'm the reason why u got the deal because u remind them of me"

it's all been said before and sounds similar to something else
what angle is he gonna play...i'm failing to see his niche in the game

i went on and threw it on repeat its waaaay better than that "im on it" song & he gettin broke off by coca-cola for that lol

same boat as "who dat" like I said right before it dropped
Absolutely. But when you have hyped it ALL day and leave people waiting way past 10:30, you don't come through? He was tweeting like this was the ONE, but it wasn't ...

By no means should anyone lose faith in Cole after this song. For all we know this could be a throwaway track. I hope its not on the album or a single but I am not gonna lose faith in his ability to make good music which he clearly has proven. I just hope that he is not forced to dumb down his music so much more because this was real simple rap.

No one's losing faith. It's moreso to the  token of "WOW, Cole has NEVER dissapointed". It's that shocking.

Still going to be a Cole Summer

I agree but people do especially on NT where it all takes is one song for people to jump off the bandwagon or make ridiculous predictions of failure.

Not my favourite J.Cole track, but like he himself said its only a B-side track and its not a single. Still looking forward to the 2nd single and of cause the album. The 1,2 punch must mean Jay and Kanye album going to drop after Coles' otherwise J.Cole debut is going to be overshadowed.

ehh, its not horrible like some of yall saying, its ok, i can mess with it some, the beat is nice, the chorus...not so much

Ok now I officially rock with this...woke up humming the chorus
"Cant help but think about it all the time

and you know whats on my mind

and you know whats on my mind

and you know whats on my mind..."

Third verse is kinda mean

"the hood say we fuggin with ya Cole see

and we gon ride right wit ya

yeah we know u got college degreeees

but we got priors like Richard"

Song really isn't bad....

It just isn't what we expected....

My home girl that I been trying to put on to J. Cole from so long ago heard this on the radio this morning and hit me saying she can't front she feeling this....

I gave it a few more listens and its ok. I guess I was just expecting a straight heatrock and was just a little dissapointed. At least we seem to be getting closer to single and album launch time.
