Exactly. I've been waiting for over 3 years for this and the fact that someone who just found out who J. Cole is last week gets to hear this amazing album a week before me would leave me a little salty. I can guarantee no one is going to cancel their preorder once they hear it.

He really poured his whole heart into this

maybe too much so, sometimes it can be preachy

but I cant relate to any of so take that with a grain of salt

on the other hand I can only imagine the feelings it would invoke in the people listening who share is experiences

its impact would be profound I imagine

anyway

favorite is Rise and Shine the beat is crazy and he snapped "Cole planning funerals you might fit the coffin"

Sideline Story and Nobody's Perfect also to bangers along with Dollar and a Dream III.

Album is more than solid and I been with dude since day one.

No doubt ima buy like all of you should

This and Section.80 are def albums of the year. Flawless production and lyricism

The praise is shocking...I'm not going to make it to Tuesday. Will download as soon as I get home.

Two copies will be purchased on Tuesday, though.

Definitely a solid debut. Great production, for me that's the highlight of the album. I like the groove of the whole album. That's a lost art these days, making an album that has a consistent vibe all the way through. That is definitely appreciated. The lyrics are cool (although there's a few too many songs about women) but I was finally able to figure out what always hit me weird about dude, and this is just me, but he reminds me a lot of Kweli. That's not a bad thing it's just sometimes I almost feel like I'm listening to a Kweli album. His voice is just a little gruffer but not by much. It'll get some good play until Coldplay comes out next month and then that'll for sure dominate the rest of my music listening time through the end of the year.

I've been a fan of J. Cole but not diehard by any means... I've been waiting to see how he delivered with this album and I am really impressed.

Lyrics, production, the overall tone and cohesiveness, exactly what you want out of a debut album.

Don't think so. It's Dolla and a Dream III. Dolla and a Dream was on The Come Up and Dolla and a Dream II was on The Warm Up.

To be fair, hats off to Jay for allowing Cole to toe the line. I'm glad he didn't push him the way most labels do.

You fall in love with one artist, and when he finally drops the album sounds completely different than what you first heard to attract your ears.

This has the same vibe as one of his mixtapes, it just sounds like it's on a grander scale.
