(Fav track of the album is Sideline Story, hands down)

+1. I was there, and the farewell was ridiculously long haha.
But he had to make up for it after making us wait for like a damn hour when he was supposed to show up at 9. The DJ just basically played music for a whole damn hour and 15 mins.

To whoever mentioned Nas placing Halftime on illmatic, this day in age that probably wouldn't happen. In 1992 music was not distributed the way it is today, so there were many more people that had not heard the song compared to those around the world who have heard LP and ITM. Also, with an album with several songs catered to females didn't need more, IMO ...

After a few listens, i prefer the second half of the album, which seems to flow better. the only track that i dislike is Mr Nice Watch. Favourite would be Nothing Last Forever, which has that Won't be Long feeling to it.

Its a great album but i think WTT is better.

The album is really good. The only songs I don't like are Can't Get Enough, Mr. Nice Watch, and Cole World. Mr. Nice Watch was a big disappointment.
I'm stoked to see him in NYC next month.

Just got back from the Dollar and a Dream show at Roseland. I'm beat.

Shout out to Chris aka AIRJORDAN JB23 for getting me so far up front.

I saw Peter Rosenberg (who introduced Cole) tweet this during the show one song before "Mr. Nice Watch" and thought for sure Jay-Z was gonna pop up on stage. Oh well

@Rosenbergradio Peter Rosenberg

I just saw one of the top 5 dead or alive backstage at the j cole show

Dudes really don't want to hear Lights Please on the album? That's one of his best songs. It had to be on there. Deep as *#*$

Nah, #1 that's Detox, #2 WTT was way more hyped and didn't live up. Cole definitely satisfied.

Show was great.. Picked up an album too so I'm about to give it my first listen.

I really thought Jay would've came out.. I'll post some vids I took tomorrow

yup show in LA was great. 4th time seeing him...tho I have to say his performance at Key club is my favorite out of them all. last night was good....but felt he didnt perform as long, and the final farewell was really long....where in past he would use that time to do more. all good though.

Went on vacation so spent a lot of time bumping this while traveling around...album has REALLY grown on me

, the second half of the album is almost flawless...I had this at an 8 at first listen, now that I've spent time listening to it front to back a few times I'm bumping it up to a 9-9.5/10. And so far, I like this better than WTT.

From "Lost Ones" on, all the songs are just pure flames

really dont understand why dudes dont like Cole.... IMO dude is one of the best things to hit mainstream for a while. Cole World>WTT... hell Warm Up>WTT easy.

so glad i got those vip tickets for the l.a. show 'cause that line was no joke! Wasn't too surprised that tickets sold out but at one point during the show
i looked around and it felt like every single person was standing up and knew every song word by word. I cant remember the last time i went to a show and the artist

had the crowd as hyped as he did. Interesting how i was at The Roots show at the house of blues the weekend before and the crowds energy was ehhhhhh.

Granted, much smaller venue but still. I see why so many people support Cole so much, today. he has that mainstream appeal but still has those bars that remind you of that

"warm-up" cole, all good, but those die hard, i only listen to real hip hop cole fans, they've heard 75 bars right?

Glad i went to the show. I will support come tuesday. Hope dudes album does well.

I've searched all over...I could have sworn I've heard the "Rise and Shine" sample in an old Jay-Z or Rocafella song but I can't remember which song it was anymore, or if it even was at all...can someone fill me in on that?
