[:: J. COLE THREAD | DREAMVILLE's ROTD3 ALBUM OUT NOW!! ::]

The Cure was terrible. He didn't even rap about anything. A couple decent lines but most of them were zzzzzzzzz.

I like Cole but dude needs some new content, badly.

He seems to have that added swagger to him on this. Like he now is assured himself that aint to many in hiphop ****** wit em:smokin

"We aint come here for that" lmaoo

I'm A Fool

Cole bringing that soul back man. :wow: :wow: Imma need the CDQ to this asap

Mannnn that sample touched my soul.

I dont think the crowd appreciated what he did there. If that joint had been full of 25 y.o. n up black folk it would've been a 2-stepping extravaganza

The Fool sounds nice...I like how he is doing a lot of soul sounding tracks right now.

this... what did Cole World end up doing number wise?

hopefully Cole got all all those blatant mainstream aspirations out his system and can focus in on Warm Up/FNL quality music.

Last I heard was 635K around June

I think the mainstream aspirations were more the label's input than him.

Normally I don't care for record sales anymore, however...in this case, Cole selling gold is incredible because it's inevitably going to allow him more freedom and more control over the music he puts out for his 2nd album.

As you guys can tell, he has been taking his sweet ol' time with this next one. Ya'll really think the label would be chill with dude just kickin it, waitin a whole year to put out some music if he had a dud with his first album?

Yeah right...there would be pressure to pick up some more buzz, pick up sales, desperately put out more radio songs, etc.

Cole is in his lane now... his sales are only going to help his music and his fans. We're going to get the best from him because he's going to be allowed to make what he thinks is his best music.

Success gives you privileges that failure doesn't.

That's why I ain't even trippin off of this long wait. Take your time Cole, because I know the 2nd album will be a lot more special than the first.

Agreed and I like artist that don't oversaturate the market and take time with their albums.
