you would think on his 2nd album his camp would be more on top of things. not saying they are not but his history of pump faking is gonna end up defining him and turning ppl off.

Roc Nation is gonna slow around and put him out there when it may be hard for him to get the optimal shine or attention from the fans.

watch Big Sean, Drake and Wale all announce release dates soon and Cole get squeezed in there somewhere.

at the end of the day i just hope the music bangs and he collaborates with more producers that expand his sound.

He outsold Both Wale & sean tho and i'm pretty confident that he will have a better album than both so i dont think that's much of a problem

Most artist at this time never release their album on the first release date that they announce and Cole even addressed that he knew Jan. 28th wouldn't be the actual date but it would be ideal for his birthday (pretty sure Roc Nation knew this too). Cole has already conditioned his fan base by not releasing music so often like everybody else so I think he'll be fine once it's ready to drop. Between the 3 artist you named only Drake would be a threat as far as when albums would drop and they don't quite have the same fan base.
 
I'ma fan of Cole, but this whole disappearing from the world between projects thing is gonna hurt him in the long run.  And when I say that I don't mean just releasing music, I'm talking about how he drops off the face of earth, no recent features/videos, no social networking stuff, no radio appearances, nothing. Dude is a ghost.

I agree with this completely. If he not dropping music, he needs to at least tweet more than once every 2 months. Post a Vlog or something Cole.
 
this dude's whole buzz is gone, he better reinvent himself because he's as bland as a plain piece of bread.
