I've been thinking the past few weeks that I feel like a High School kid wearing Jordans anywhere. I have all these J's now, at least 4 of everynumber. Well over 120 pairs, and I just can't see myself wearing them anywhere, anytime. They just sit there. The shoes are still sick don't get mewrong. I just feel like they've been over-done. And its kinda sad because of all the time and money i've put into them. I need to fall in love withthem again i guess. and when i think about all the money i put into them i get sick to my stomach because i'm like @!% what do i have to show for them? aroom full of shoes? And honesly, even if Jordan Brand dropped the Space Jams, White/black/red x's, white/red xii's and infared vi's i dont thinki'd pick em up.

sell em on NT

Sometimes I wonder this too, but I believe that once a sneakerhead, always a sneakerhead. I tried to stop buying them. Lasted 4 weeks before I got the itchagain. Take a break. I'm 23 with 105 pairs of J's and I know I'll be wearing J's for a long time to come. Invest your time in something else, but I guarantee you, you'll come back to the game sooner or later.

give them to your son or something, like charity. better than to let them rot in your room

I came to the realization about a month or two ago that I wasn't only buying shoes that I truly wanted. I bought a lot of kicks because I was in themoment. My collection is nowhere near 120 pairs but even with my 20 something pairs I realized about half of them I didn't care about truly. I'mactually trying to sell the ones I don't care for now (Damn 300 post minimum >_<) but I know that if I had 120 pairs and I felt the the way I do now,I'd be disgusted with myself too. I guess you could always try and see if you have the same problem I had (that I think a lot of sneaker heads have) andlook at each pair of shoes you bought and think to yourself "Do I still really like these like I did when I first saw them?" Everytime I see a newrelease I think to myself "Will I still want these in a couple months? Or if they pass me by will I not care?" and that helps me determine what Ireally want. Heck, I even passed up on the Nubucks and I'll be passing on the TB III's (Not a big III fan myself.)

Try wearing them... I've felt the same way, but when you un-ds some fresh kicks you realize why you bought them in the first place. You have to decide ifyou would ever be willing to sell them. If not, your only option is to rock them. I treated mine like they were fine china for too long. I plan on rocking adifferent pair every day all summer now! At least when I leave the house, lol.

Well said..I don't got as many as a lot of collectors but I know I'll love jordans and nike's for the rest of my life and 15-20 years down the line(hoping my son will have a fashion sense) my son can wear my kicks if he's my size. It's kinda like a future investment some what. As long as theydon't crumble like a cookie when you throw them on years from now.

i have had 200 pairs and i love all of them. i'm old enough to know how freakin' hard it is to earn money but i don't regret buying all my j's.at least i know i can get my money back if i needed it but i'd rather have my kicks. i guess this is what you call being a sneakerhead. i've alwaysbeen into kicks as far back as i could remember as a toddler.

i've definitely slowed up and am VERY selective on what to get. i really want the +60 pack. but at this point i only want to have enough j'sthat'll last me a life time. that's why i'm selling half of my collection 9.0 and a few 9.5 from retros to cdp's......

I know it's hard, Jordans are being worn by kids who never even saw Mike play on TV let alone at a real game. You just gotta be extremely selective ofwhat you get, and make sure theyre pairs that you REALLY want. If not, you're just gonna keep beating yourself up whenever you buy a pair. I think youshould take a hard look at your collection, and if your money is tight you should sell some of em. Whether to other NT heads or on e-bay, you will get adecent return on any pair relative to their quality. I almost quit on jordans once I saw them fused with AF1's, so now I'm just getting what i reallywant. Nubuck 12's are so gorgeous, but I'm holding back for spacejams and true blues instead. I cut down on my collecting, and I came to theconclusion that I'm only gonna own one pair of a sneaker, and never double up on it. That includes diff colorways and what not (It's SO hardsometimes) Thats how I've cut back, and it's really working out. I have no where near 100 pairs, but i'm more satisfied with my collection nowthan i've ever been. Hope it works out for you my man. Good luck.

Thought enter my head quite often about what the hell im doing with so many shoes, but its just somethin that i have to have....

I know the feeling man, you love the kicks and want to keep buying and collecting.....but at the same time you wonder why because you never get to wear themmuch, and they just sit there. I used to do searches on Ebay for newly listed jordans 1-2 times a day, now its like whenever get around to it. Maybe im justgrowing up, but it just doesnt seem like its a priority anymore to keep stocking up on shoes that rarely get worn...also the fact that nothing good hasreleased since the 11/12 (my last cop, ebay or otherwise). Its just at the point where i need to be very selective, and unless its a must have, i pass.

Although, guaranteed TB3's and SJXI's will still end up in my closet

I think you're just becoming more mature and care less about material things. There's nothing wrong with that.

I agree with everyone here and appreciate all of the in-put! I have pretty much any Jordan that has come out since 2000, sizes range between 9-11, mostly 9.5and 10 though, haven't bought a new pair that has released since the black/green spiz'ikes in December. If you want something hit me up and i'lllet you know.

I would just keep all of the grails and sell off some of the retro+ colorways. It's so hard to get a lot of these shoes. Don't do it!!!!

You have a few options...
1- Sell them and get most of your money back. That would help your stomach aches

2- Keep them and let your child(ren) have them or let them collect more dust and mold (if any)
3- Put them in a will for someone close to you to receive if you pass- hopefully not
4- Give them away

roll.gif
like anyone would do that
5- Donate them to a charity- doing good deeds will come back 10 fold
6- Trade some for more DS HEAT
7- Fall in love with the shoe game again and keep on collecting

Only advice is to do what would make you happy and not do what others tell you to do with them.

BE selective. Don't think of sneakers as the defining factor of an outfit but as an element of fashion. Just buy what you like; like you would a shirt, pants, or accessories. Don't buy just because. When you do that, you'll end up saving a lot more money, and buying the sneakers you really want.

you are being very optimistic if you think many of your shoes will really be wearable 20 years from now. Not even talking about quality, justshoes in general are not meant to last 20 years, DS or not 20 years is a long time for those materials to stay wearable.

My advise is enjoy them now, dont look at your shoes as investments. true you can resell some and get your $ back, and if thats how you enjoy them great, butthat should be your priority, enjoying them, if thats not happening something needs to change.

Only pair I care about is all of my XI's. Everything else I have I just end up working out in.
Very true though, you really don't have much to show for them besides bragging rights and compliments from random dudes haha figured that !@$ out a loooongtime ago
