Jordan brand Vs. Nike

Jordan Signature Line is known as the best shoe line ever! PennyHardaway line had a spark when it started and is great but doesn't add up, Barkely line is ok,

And the Lebron line is to bulky at times and the line seems like its getting boring, and the way he switches from his signature shoe tohis team shoe in the playoffs kills it for me.

Which brings me to the Kobe line, If you compare its first 4 shoes to the Jordan line first 4 shoes, and think of the waythe Jordan 3 changed the shoe game, the kobe iv did just the same thing , I think if the Kobe line comes correct on 5 and 6 I think the Jordan line retro hypewill finally die down, because people are beasting for the kobe iv's more than any Jordan sig./retro as far back as I can remember.

Questions for NIKE TALK

1. Do you feel that Jordan brand has taking away fromthe Lebron and Kobe line?, we are living in the past with retros

2. When will we finally past the torch? We complainabout quality and performance with the Jordan line, but there are other signature shoes out their with great quality and perform better and better every yearand we stay on this forum complaining!

See below for what Nike has done to JB. As for Jordan retros you boys need to just go ahead and admit your about 6 years too late and move on, that shipssailed.

Kobve or Lebrons line will never ever ever ever ever compare to Jordans....as far as nike right now there retro line is bangin, jb has some nice releases butthe quality needs to step up big time....but JB rules in sales like always.

JB does not rule on sales.... NUMBERS have it that the Kobe line outsells lebron and JB world wide.... Someone bring up the reports please. The thing is...There is no torch... JB is it's own... And Nike will continue to make sig lines... No matter what. But how boring will it be w/o Kobe or lebron in Nike? Ithink theyll continue the Kobe and lebron line... The Kobe line will be known as the basketball section and the lebron line will continue but more on thelooking appeal side of things... My 2 cents

Kobe or Lebron line will never compare with sales of Jordan. But as of today, I u play ball dont just buy Jordan because of the name. Tryhyperdunks, lebrons, kobes. The zoom kobe IV is a revolutionary shoe IN MY OPINION best on the market.

Time will come when the Jordan Sig line will subside... Change is inevitable.

Nike has always been better than Jordan Brand regardless there are more Nike classics than JB anyways

co-sign^^^^ Plus Nike still owns a percentage of Brand J.,, Nike got it on lock ,,
Brand J's giving the appeal,, nikes backing there every move,, like a true sponsor should...........

i just like nikes foams and flightposets some otha ones but those are tha main two
never likes kobes.,and only like the frist 2 lebrons so for now ill stay with jb

Nike has been killing JB for some time now. Quality is an issue with JB right now (shows no sign ofreturning), but people will continue to buy it nonetheless. It's gonna be a long while before JB actually dies or even "passes the torch". Eventhough the Kobe & Lebron lines are pretty solid and consistent, I don't think that they will have the longevity after those players retire unlike theJordan line.

Perfect execution.

JB will die down. Of course, the retros will live on. But the way its heading... it's falling harder than ever.

Jordan will always be the best, kobe's and lebron's just dont have the same feel to them, that look....its hard to explain but most would know what imean....they are basketball shoes and you can wear them anywhere....i would not go out wearing a pair of kobes or lebrons

I think people are afraid to pass the torch from jordan brand...and plus how many successfully CONSISTENT winners do we have anymore?...nobody really....ifsomeone has a career like mike's then i could see a hype surrounding them & there shoe...but jordans are like the 90s...best period of time &people don't want to let go.

Just for Clarification.

Nike does NOT own a % of Jordan Brand.

Nike owns ALL of Jordan Brand. They just cut MJ a HUGE check and MJ has ALOT of say in what goes on....and they consult him on ALL aspects of who works forJordan in Upper Management.

Also.. it is a slightly false statement that Kobe outsells Jordan.. Kobes Signature may outsell Jordans Signature presently.. especially with Asia behind Kobethe way it is... but as a Brand.. No. Jordan has much more Volume with its Team Line alone which out sell Kobes footwear line.

That is all.

There was a post in the last few days regarding sales figures in the basketball category and the top 5 were all JB....I've been on nt a really long timeand have always noticed how things like "JB is Dead" is claimed with every fusion or team shoe release....yet when you look at the sales figures JBhas a strangle hold on the top selling shoes in the category seemingly always.

That said, The kobe line is progressing well and starting to have sales behind it, but has quite a way to go before offering the sheer volume that JB putsout....we can't even count all of the shoes that JB releases each month....Kobe on the other hand, puts out a new colorway or two of his sig shoe and maybea trainer or whatever those "other" kobes shoes were called (check your local clearance racks and you will see what I mean)....

I would love to see either Lebron's line or Kobe's replace what JB is now....innovativeproduct with new or advancing technology behind it has always represented Nike at it's best....When was the last time JB did this well or at all? XX3?
