Opinion from you guys with OG and early retro heat

So I'm wondering what all you guys think about Jordans being retroed? Those of you with the OG's, do you feel like it takes away from the original? Those of you with the retro's, do you feel like the CDP's take away from yours? I.E. CDP XI. I know the quality isn't as good but Im justwondering how you guys feel about the newer retro's since you already have the OG....I myself don't have hardly any OG heat and just seeing all thesenew retro's makes me wonder what you guys with it think...
 
its nice to have em retroed, but recent retros are horrible, quality and overall feel. no to mention the fusions that are ruining all of our favorites.
 
I hate new quality I know 1999 isn't og but the Oreo 4s by far have the greatest overall comfort and quality in a retro and the cdp 4s just suck

i like the heat jb brings out. i get to keep the better quality j's on ice as i can use the bad quality j's for casual wear and beat them down knowingi have a better quality pair deadstock......
 
Have a few OG's from the 90's (white/red XII's, OG Hare VII's) and I like to see them retroed, but I would like to see them with the samequality in which they orginally released. But then again I didn't really care when the CDP Hare VII's came out or when the white/red XII's wereslated to re-release this fall/winter only becuase I have the OG's & I know the quality isn't going to be anywhere near the same.
 
i thinks its better for the way the quality is cuz if they put the quality of the older retros in todays shoes we would be looking at a constant $250 pair ofj's......
 
OG's and the early Heat are by far way better in QUALITY than what is being made today. I don't understand how the newest releases today are loweringthe price of OG's and earlier Retro's/Heat if they are very poor QUALITY

IMO, the OG's should be worth more. Not lower

Just becausethe new releases offer DS/ICY condition, shouldn't mean that their poor QUALITY should hurt the real value of OG's and early HEAT

I have quite a few OGs and early retros. I have all the OG 12s, but I may still cop the retros once they release. The OGs will be like treasure to me. I agreequality was better with the OGs, but I don't think the retros quality is as bad as everyone makes it seem. Due to the fact that most OGs crumble with justa few steps, I prefer that a retro is made. What I don't like is when a shoe is retroed and there are drastic changes. Shadows(stupid 23), Infrared6(varsity red), Columbia 11(ice blue soles please), etc. If you make a retro of an OG colorway, keep it as close to the OG as possible.
 
the majority of sneaker heads only see the style of shoe and then they go for the lowest price to cop. just because one shoe is made better than the other themajority is willing to shell out less for lesser quality and still have the same looking shoe. now that the same shoe is more available with the new releasethe older shoe loses its limited price tag since there is more for sale at a cheaper price than the original(OG) sacrificing the quality at the same time. theonly ones that care about the quality are the ones that used to have the quality jordans back then. even so, the newer cheap quality kicks will definitley outlast the og j's.....
 
I think retroing is just fine! But if your going to bring the shoe back.. bring back the same shoe! Don't add in no *%!$+%**.

i agree. i'm actually noticing that they are making the retros closer and closer to the og(i's metallic colorway og, nubuck xii's were almostidentical to the retros and the high top style of the i's). and i also think they are making the colors a little different to seperate the OG colorways tothe new retros. i kinda like it this way just to keep the OG a little more special than the general releases......

Yea JB really F'd up doing that "Best of bothworlds" crap! Anyways I have few but began with J's since OG VI's and so on, so if it wasnt for retros I wouldnt be able to cop the III'sIV's etc. Also Im still waiting for JB to retro the wht/maroon and wht/infared VI

it's a little frustrating because of the effort that i put forth to make sure that mine stayed nice over the years and then retros or cdp's come outand my og's are visibly the same as the shoes some kid bought yesterday, but then again releases that i missed or couldn't get as a kid i amdefinitely going out and trying to get the retro of it, so overall i'm not mad at it. i'm all for people being able to get the shoes that they want,myself included.
 
I own 6 pair of OG Jordans. And everything else of mine except 2 pairs are from pre-2002.

I dont mind if they retro the same shoe again. It doesnt take away from my collection at all. If anything, im adding to my collection.Its not like JB istelling you to trade in all your old pairs for a new pair of same exact shoe were bringing out. So i would like to see retros done right. NO adding a lilsymbol, or darker color to differiniate the shoes. Make it exactly the same way. Like i said, its not taking away from my collection. We've been so loyalto Brand Jordan, now all we ask is to be loyal to your supporters.

The fusions really hurt me. How are you bring out 6 rings that look identical to my Concord XI, to a person who doesnt really know the difference? How aboutOlive Fusions that take away from my Olive IX??

Quality has pissed me off more than anything. My CDP 4's cracked on me in less than a month

This is BS. Thats why i dont buy any new $**@. Lucky me, i grew up during the 2001 era while i had a good job. Releases were so easy to snatch up. Now JBthinks they can add a name to hype things up and make people waste their time by standing in line at 6am. Well it aint me.

So Good riddance JB. I hope you FAIL. Just like the soles of my CDP 4's did me...
 
I only a couple of OGs, but lots of early retros.

I personally do not mind at all. I think it's a good thing that they're more widely available for me to purchase additional pairs and wear.

I just wish that the quality can be kept up and maintained by JB... most recent retros do not do OG/early retros justice.

I am for retros. Because my older pairs, specially from III-VI, will crumble eventually and I'll need a new pair to wear.

The problem is that the recent retros quality is garbage.
 
quality will never be the same as og's but damn can't jb make an effort at least to make them with some quality
