It's sad we've all forgotten what Jordan's are for.

You didn't cop them to put them on ice you copped them because they were made for ballin... when you stepped on the court you thought u could really be like Mike.

But these days very few of us rock them on the court or even want to wear them for fear of them getting messed up...
I copped the 2/21 pack a few weeks ago. And like most of you just wanted the 2's but hey can't just toss the 21's... so i decided to hit the gym and play some ball in em... heck get some use out of them... to my surprise these are some of the most comfortable kicks i've balled in since hell i rocked my 3's back in high school...

Damn shame we've turned the greatest basketball player in the world to the new wave Chuck Taylor.
Have fun balling in poor quality sneakers. Jordan Brand sneakers are no longer made for basketball, just everyday walking or storing in thecloset

What if you don't want to play basketball? Just because you own Jordans doesnt mean you have to play basketball....Hell i'm 5'6 and I suck atbasketball...You can't tell people what to do with their shoes. Maybe some people just want to collect them for sentimental value. Ridiculous

Jordans are the only shoes I have ever played ball in. imo the 19-23 are great ballin shoes. I agree that jordans are now more of a fashion statement than aperformance shoe...unfortunately JB has made it that way

I can kinda see where your coming from OP. I wear some of my kicks to ball in, but others I've spent just a little to much money on and try to keep them asfresh as possible by cleaning them regularly or rocking them sparingly.

what the hell does it matter. can't people decide for themselves nowadays. who cares if people don't wear their shoes i don't...

outside of 18-23 there are many better options(cheaper too) for basketball. Its the reason why we have team kicks

I didnt know there were guidelines you had to follow to wear shoes. I guess you HAVE to skate in your SB's, you HAVE to run in your Air Max's, You HAVEto play soccer in ADDIDAS, and HAVE to play ball in jordans. Dumb post if you ask me

yes, its the greatest basketball sneaker line of all time...i agree with that...as far as why cant people wear it casually or keep it on ice...to me, its apersonal preference...for me if i wanted to wear it for basketball, i'll buy 2 pairs...one for basketball and one for the collection...if i really like theshoe, i'll buy 3 sets of the same pair...one for basketball, one for the collection, and one for casual wear...but thats just me...if i cant afford the 2or 3 sets and can only afford one pair, then i just keep that pair on ice for the collection

like everyone sayin retros do not have the same feelin as ogs i personally play ball in the new tech shoes and wearjays for stuntin.plus it is fun hobby tocollect kicks

and i remember back in the days when people in niketalk didn't complain about life and posted up future heat

Ha, thats hilarious...but i don't hoop in my jordans because recent retroes are terrible quality and i dont have the money to spend on em justto beat em on the courts. A lot of newer jordans just aren't built to ball in, sure my CDP XX1's work great but thats about my only retro I'd ballin........

I remember back in 2nd grade how bad i wanted Jordans on my feet. My parents couldn't afford them, fortunately i struck my luck on a pair of white/red13's on the shoe rack. It was affordable for my mom to buy the next day I wore them people where hating saying things like oh that an old colorway the newone is out. I didn't care just love having them on my feet trying to play like mike. Jordans are meant for showing off, but for me its all performance andabusing it to its limits. Jordans aren't like that anymore its different.

i didn't say nothing about what yall should do with ur money
hell i got at least 10 pairs of J's i know won't EVER see the court...

point of the post was to point out something i saw not tell cats what they should do with their money or kicks...

yall have fun getting upset lol

Not everybody buy Jordans to play ball in. They buy them either because of the style of the shoe and/or Michael Jordan himself. Besides retros nowadaysaren't just made for on-court performances imo. Another reason is because of the prices of Jordan nowadays. I mean fusion 9's are more than my 06V's. How crazy is that? Not everyone can afford that. I think if Jordan were still playing, you'll see Jordans on the court though.

However, I bought the 22/1 Countdown package not too long ago, and I must say, the XX2's are some comfortable shoes to play ball in.

What makes me even more upset, are those who just don't wear their jordans. I really really hate that. But I understand what your saying, and unfortunately, that's the future of jordan brand; to be mass marketed as the premiere lifestyle sneaker. Moreover, it's sucks coming to the realization that even a retro VIII won't even last more than a few months without cracking.

For one you have to remember who is actually buying the shoes nowadays. Half the people that wear Jordans now have not even picked up a basketball,ever.......

Plus the quality has not been the best in the past 3-5 years. Only Jordans I can trust on the court as of late is a pair of X's.

Its more a fashion statement then anything else. ALOT of people are Jordan fans all of a sudden, but thats another conversation.
