Shame on Jordan Brand...

I have been a loyal Jordan Brand/Nike customer/collector for nearly a decade and demand a change in quality control. I used to hit nearly every release upuntil the Air Jordan fire red IV's released. When I first held those all I could ask myself..."Did I really just buy these?" At that release itdawned on me that Jordan Brand had really taken another direction in quality. Those were the good ol' days. Today you will find what seems to be likehundreds of sneaker releases a year. Most in colorways like "green bean" and carpet-like material glued onto Swooshes, and not to mention the AirJordan V completely wrapped in 3M. I own Air Max 90's made of finer quality leather than the recently release Air Jordan I's included in the DMP. Theonly aspect resembling the orignal I's is the Swoosh. The whole shape of the shoe is off (don't tell me that JB destroyed the molds from '01), thepaper thin leather bends like plastic and has a strong smell of chemicals. You take one step in this shoe and the whole toe bends into your foot where itshould just crease. High quality leather is much softer which will crease much easier. This I believe might be the reason why JB refuses to make their shoeswith anywhere near decent leather these days. It appears that some people would rather have the entire shoe bend than actually crease the leather. However, theinsole did appear to be of acceptable quality, thank you JB for that. Some people may be infuriated with this post. "Quit buying Jordans if you don'tlike the quality." Well this is for you. I would rather see a thousand of these posts than one more "Official Fusion/Crap Post...who'scopping?" With a problem there is always a solution. Petitions, letters, anything. If there is already a major petition underway please let me know.

as long as ppl keep buying, their paper keeps stacking and the cheap BS will keep coming from JB, so it's really on us

I don't even know why y'all wasting your time. At the end of the day JB will keep doing what they do.

everyone is tired of the bad quality but jb doesnt care, there still making money and sadly thats all they care about these days

^ exactly. if you keep buying the garbage they put out, why stop production?

in conclusion,
JUST BUY WHAT YOU LIKE.

QFT...Prior to goin to POSSIBLY purchase the DMP 2 this pase Saturday I looked at my Red/Black Hi straps and I said..."If the quality is even close tothis, I'm passing". Lo and behold, Garbage Delux. Put the shoe down, copped a new Tx. Rangers fitted and bout to cop some Bape Roadstas for even lessthan that pack. JB is forcing our hands away. At least of the people who recognize true quality.

It won't last forever. Companies have Quality Control as a separate department for a reason. Yes, JB is extremely popular in pop culture but it was createdupon a foundation of high quality/performance shoes that Michael Jordan laced up. That combination right there = success. However, people these days don'tbuy them for those reasons anymore. JB has now become a "fad". Fads don't last, JB will only remain unless they please the loyal customer whobuys for the bedrock principles of the brand.

You have to remember, quality comes at a price. The Yeezy's were $215, the 1/2 cents were $190 and so on and so forth.

We ALL want better quality JB products, but we(shoe heads, collectors etc) are not the target market anymore.

Kids these days will buy ANYTHING with a jumpman logo on it. So as long as this continues, we will continue to get the crap we get.

IMO, JB died years ago, but at the same time it is hard to find DS OG's or pre-2003 retroes at a halfway descent price.

So it goes hand in hand.

After the Space Jams drop, i'm done with JB/Nike for good..........

i got the raging bull pack, and well i wore the 3m and now im selling them. they are not comfortable, and your right they crease in the first 2 minutes ofwalking in em...dman we pay soo much for this?

jordan brand has saved me a lot of money. i would've liked to buy the black/red 1's, but the changes they make to the shoe and the materials used turnme the other way. make them right and i'll buy them. otherwise, i'm passing.

I whole-heartedly agree. I got the Hare VII Countdowns (a grail of mine, as for many)- the material is OK, nice even, but the re-design makes them look like...an actual rabbit's foot. I'm selling them with only a small tear in my eye.

family... i hooped in my cdp 18s the other day... and over a course of 4 days of hoopin, the shoes are unwearable... i simply cannot step on the court in thoseshoes again cuz i dont want to injure myself...

the kicks are trash... and its hard to cop a pair that is mint condition out the box... best thing i can say is cop some nikes cuz they are on top of theirgame...
