Hey NT. New to posting at these boards, finally got an account. Straight to the point: I wrote to Jordan Brand's Footwear Director. After 2 months, Ireceived a reply. Just thought you guys might be interested in what the corporate directors had to say.

My name is Astor Chambers and I work on the Jordan footwear business, I was given the letter you wrote to Mr. Knight and I wantedto follow up with you regarding it.

First, I want to thank youfor ALL your support and loyalty over the last 10+ years. The brand is very appreciative for customers like you and view our success as a total reflection ofyour support and other customers alike.

As for the quality of theproduct, we take great pride in making some of the best performance products in the world and with that comes a very high standard of excellence to complementthe amazing craftsmanship that goes into every shoe. Here at the Jordan Brand we have a significant amount of customers that look to procure our retro footwearproduct (AJ1 thru 23) and one of the prerequisites in bringing these models back is that we remain true to the original construction/look/material/color/etc.With that we sometimes find that we may not be using the most efficient approach given all that we've learned to date but we do remain true to what theconsumer expects from us.

I would be more then happyto discuss this further if you would like so please do not hesitate to give me a call.

I can't thank youenough for taking the time to write your letter and bringing to our attention your concerns, with customers like you we will only get better.

Thankyou!

I wrote a e-mail about the Infrared 6's coming out and I got a similar reply. I already made a thread about it though.

I don't know if it is, but it's a bit good to know that they actually listen, maybe not as much as we'd like, but listen regardless.

Guys, remember the Carmine 6s petition that was started here a couple of years ago?

Look what happened. We got what we wanted in 2008.

Same goes for all the other shoes that have been petitioned to release. We're basically getting what we asked for. Aside from the quality that we soughtafter and exact replication of the original design.

I really think we shouldn't overly complain to Jordan Brand. Ever heard the saying "don't bite the hand that feeds you?" I mean we could alltry and look at the bright side of releases lol.

Ah, well I hope you guys can give them a call or what not. I'll probably do so myself if I get the time. I don't think they need to make huge changesto their current products aside from better quality leather, better shape, and overall durability. A few minor changes to set the retroes apart from theoriginal isn't so bad, so for those that have been true to collecting Jordans since the days of the original Black/ Red AJ1 from 1984 maintain the value oftheir shoes. As for me, aside from better quality and as true to the OG as possible, don't you guys think it'd be great if say, for example, the AirJordan 3 has Zoom Air in it?

i just want to have a word with fat boy mayden about the damn high heel 09's he put out

tell that to my cdp 4's that already have paint starting chip after about 8 or 9 wears....or my aqua 8's

dude of course they're gonna be saying good $+++ to ANYONE who writes to them... what, do you expect them to reply saying "You guys are stupid ashell, we don't care what you think, oh and keep buying our payless shoe quality"?

truth of the matter is, JB can say w/e they want, but so far the only thing we've been seeing is the quality of their product getting worsen by the second
