What's With All The Hype...?

I have been an Air Jordan Connoisseur for the majority of my life and for as long as I can remember I can't seem to understand why everyone is so high onthe XI's. The Cool Grey's are the BEST IMO but even then I can think of so many other Jordans that I'd rather shell out money for, look at, and/orwear. Can someone, anyone please help me understand the obsession with this sneaker. I mean dont get me wrong of course I own multiple pair my collectionwouldn't be complete with out them. But by no means is it the greatest Jordan ever. Thoughts.

I consider them a great shoe because of the design. It's sleek, its smooth, its comfortable, and it is

BUT...

I'd rather dish out serious cash for the VI's than the XI's. The VI's are my Grail of all Grails and I could never part with any of them. TheVI's to me are worth way more than any shoe ever released because of the history behind them. The XI's are wayyyy over-hyped

The shoes I believe should be hyped for more is:
6's-Jordan won his first Championship
8's Threepeat
13's-Jordan won his last Championship
14's-Jordan's last shots

It was a revolutionary shoe. Probably the most infamous Air Jordan ever...

..I would explain more, too late for that though. This shoe is definetely NOT overrated.

I believe its the best looking shoe to be worn on court.

it might be because of the meaning behind it and micheal jordan
i love XI's though, nothing to do with hype...its just one of the better lookin models, i like 1's, 3's, 4's, 5's, 6's 7's, 8'sand then 11's and 13's most out of all jordans, i think after the 8s they sorta started getting to much like a modern lookin basketball shoe and itjust happened that 11's are something different
but thats just my opinion, many others might think completely different

ya its not that its hyped...its just well liked by the sneaker community...but i agree with u wasitthechad, the cool greys are the tightest, with the spacejams as a close second...just the purpose behind the shoe, and the design is just pure fire

i dont know either. but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

but if you ask me, the Air Jordan 3 to 6 were the golden years.

the 11s broke boundaries....in a time where basketball shoes were only used to play ball in the 11s came in and turned things around....it wasnt just abasketball shoe, it became something more,something that people rocked casually in their everyday lifes ........now and days most people dont even ball intheir J's.....Jordans became an everyday casual shoe instead of just a basketball sneaker

i hate the CG XIs but i understand why the XI is hyped up. most of the hype comes from its history and the rest is from its looks.

the VI should be the most hyped imo first championship.
All of the three peat shoes deserve hype.


The hype is why JB gets to up the price and everyone will still cop.

I am with you OP. I don't get the love for them either. I agree with EEntegRa, the 3-6 are the best Js IMHO. but there is plenty of love for the VIs too...
