Well last I checked the '82 Air Force 1 is just as good as the '09 Air Force 1 and from what I can see it's still "hot right now." Nikeseems to know how to still make the same quality from almost 30 years ago, why can't JB. But truthfully I don't care about the quality retros becauseI'm happy they still make retros in OG colorways. I will always buy what I like. What I don't like is how unoriginal JB has become. All of their"new" shoes are just recycled parts of classic "OG" Jordans. And the reason people are buying it is because it looks like an OG, notbecause it's hot now. The 21 & 23 was the best thing JB has done in a long time and a great direction along with what the Melo line had for it'sfirst few shoes and how the CP3 line started. But that seems to be a flash in the pan as the 2K9 is a joke, and sales of it have definitely proven that, andthe Melo and CP3 line have now fallen victim to the recycling of OG Jordans and just look like another fusion. Get some fresh ideas for the future and make the$175+ price tag of your flagship shoe worth it in quality and technology and keep giving us OG colorways of retros. Because $150 dollars for a cheap looking,cheaply constructed Frankenstien shoe called the 60+ is just gross.

exactly its frustrating to pay 150+ for a shoe and it doesnt's hold up as good as some fakes. Thats why variants do so well because jordanisn't putting the same quality in the shoes anymore

i think i understand what you are trying to say, but it is flawed...this is not about moving forward with the times of a product...this is about RETROshoes...JB is not putting out retro jordans and trying to evolve the product they are trying to put out a retro product which is to mimic the original... abrand like mercedes puts out products to push the brand forward with changing technologies and ideas... you think if mercedes decided to bring back a classicfrom a previous era as a RETRO and threw on SUBPAR materials, changed up the overall shape, put on crazy bumper stickers (i.e. 'flu game' xii with thesilly sick face) a mercedes fan/follower would appreciate that...
JB is claiming to put out RETRO and is failling miserably at it for sometime now...we all know this and for some strange reason we keep on hoping they willwake up and get it right...the TB III is a recent release that gives us hope of a 'turning around' for the brand but we all know that's nothappening...

I see it as if you got in the Jordan game you can easily as hell get out. Change is inevitable and it's suppose to happen.
Whether change has turned out for the worst or better in your opinion, there has to be something keeping the "OG" heads

I understand what the original post is saying, but like others have said, we are paying more for shoes that are FAR inferior in quality to the OG's.That's the biggest complaint of all. I'm a 35 year old OG head and I can put up with the Jumpman instead of Nike Air, and I can handle the occasion"shape" difference, but a shoe that is made 15-20 years after the original, should AT LEAST be the same quality, but should actually be better. Thatis not the case. We get cheaper/lesser quality for a higher price... that is wrong.

I dont care if a shoe changes a little bit, i dont mind no nike air and all that but when jb starts butchering shoes it gets me a little heated. Fusions iguess are whats hot in the hood but they are just a bunch of crap thrown together in my mind. But i dont care that they are re retroing everything i just wishquality was up to par.

My young friend... EVERYONE should be mad that Brand Jordan is putting out poor quality shoes for a higher price. Don't you want a shoe that is atleast equal in quality to a shoe that was originally made 15-20+ years ago? Why would you be happy with a shoe that is poor quality?
I don't care about the fusions, 60+ models, etc. that are flooding the marketplace. People like them, that's their prerogative. I don't likethem, but I'm not mad about those. But to say that we should stop complainiing and "accept what's being done or get the *@%@ out" and justput up with poor quality shoes for a higher price, that's just pure ignorance.

I think you bring up a good point, but despite your point I still got love for the OGs man, Better colorways better quality.

I was agreeing with you 'til the Benz part.
Of course everyone is going to want a moon roof with power seated seats, windows, & all the new tech stuff they put in there.
But no one wants a shoe with flimsy cheap material.
