The new Nike LunarGlide+ launches 8/1!

Whether you're a runner with a neutral or an overpronated footstrike, the new LunarGlide+ uses a newly engineered Dynamic Support platform to constantlyadapt to your stride to deliver just the right amount of comfort and support. The mid-sole of the Nike LunarGlide+ is comprised of lightweight LunarLite foamthat is held within a firmer foam carriage. The LunarLite foam sits at an angle providing additional cushioning for the outer side of the foot, for a smoothermore comfortable run. The inner side of the mid-sole features a wedge that has been contoured to fit into the firmer foam carriage to provide stability on anas-needed basis. A neutral runner (requires minimal support) will not engage the wedge upon foot strike, but a runner who pronates (foot rotates inwards as itlands), no matter to what degree, will engage the rear foot wedge, to provide stability.

Boasting ultra-light, ultra-strong Flywire and the next generation of LunarLite system technology, the men's LunarGlide+ combines a soft core within a firmer carrier to achieve a previously unattainable blend of cushioning and response from heel to toe.

What's more, everything about the shoe's construction has been streamlined-from the molded external heel for fit and support to the improved Nike Natural Motion Engineering support under the forefoot for the smoothest ride-creating a better running experience for every kind of runner.

Finally, the men's LunarGlide+ also features a patented Dynamic Support system that adapts to you, your foot and even the various parts of your run to provide just the right amount of cushioning and support.

Every runner is unique--that much is clear. But after decades of commiserating with our fellow runners, we've learned that there are a few universal constants: all runners want great comfort and fit, long-lasting cushioning, a smooth ride and an appropriate level of support. But that last point is tricky because we each have such distinct needs when it comes to support. In fact, the level of support a runner requires can change over the course of a run and, in many cases, runners have differing support needs from one foot to the other.

Conventional approaches to support fail to address this variability. Instead, they're black-or-white solutions that either provide no added support under the arch or one, fixed level of support that doesn't change as your needs change. Recognizing the inadequacy of this static approach, we've engineered an entirely new platform called Dynamic Support and we're introducing it in the Nike LunarGlide+.

Dynamic Support enables the Nike LunarGlide+ to provide a level of support appropriate for an extraordinarily wide range of runners, from underpronators all the way through moderate overpronators. Furthermore, the system instantaneously adapts to each and every foot strike, so if you need more support near the end of a long run, you'll get it. It also adapts to the needs of each foot individually, so you'll no longer be forced to compromise the support you need or the cushioning you crave.

In terms of cushioning, the Nike LunarGlide+ is built on the latest implementation of our LunarLite cushioning system for incredibly soft, yet responsive impact protection that holds up for the long haul. What's more, supple, microfiber synthetic overlays are applied only where absolutely necessary and ultrasonically welded in place to eliminate even the possibility of stitch irritation against the foot. Plus, the midsole incorporates our gender-specific Nike Natural Motion Engineering principles for an exceptionally smooth ride. Great comfort and fit, plush cushioning, a smooth ride and Dynamic Support that adapts to each individual runner, each individual run and each individual foot. via Nike.com / Facebook

Women's Specific Design

The women's version of the shoe has been built specifically for women. Features include a design to accommodate foot ailments such as bunions and an adjustable strap to tighten around the arch of the foot as women as tend to prefer a closer fit. It's hard to please every different kind of runner; we know, we've spent decades trying. Furthermore, please them with just one shoe? Are we nuts? No, just innovative. While we can't claim that the new Women's LunarGlide+ is for absolutely everyone, well, it's a pretty amazing shoe for a lot of different types of runners. Lace up a pair and immediately feel the difference.

Next-generation LunarLite system blends cushioning and response through its dual soft core foam and firmer carrier to give you all the lightweight comfort you need without losing any support.

In addition, the shoe's entire design is specifically shaped to accommodate a woman's foot, from its dynamic Arch Bridge for enhanced stability to the wedged carrier construction for unprecedented cushioning with dynamic strike management.

Finally, the women's LunarGlide+ also features a patented Dynamic Support system that adapts to you, your foot and even the various parts of your run to provide just the right amount of cushioning and support.

with the right colorway ill cop, but i dont believe half of what they are saying.

i tried this and they were very unconformable. there is a plastic support bridge on the medial that i felt through the foam. it felt like it was digging intomy foot

I am looking forward to these...

Call me crazy but I am a SERIOUS fan of lunar foam. I read a lot of you guys talking about the foam bottoming out wearing out quickly, I have had the completeopposite experience. I own and workout/play sports in the ZKIV and Lunar Trainer. I have beat my Kobe's to heck and the lunar in the forefoot is stillcomfy. Same with my Lunar Trainers...I've put some miles on my pair and I still love them. Don't know if its my larger frame (6"6") 250 orwhat but anything with Lunar foam in it gets a long look from me.

I am really interested to see how these perform. The concept sounds pretty tight if Nike can actually deliver all it promises with these. Those who havethem...are the claims true or mostly hype?

first off im runner who runs 75 miles a week and has warn many different running shoes. i think with this nike is going in the right directionwith the support and everything i think it is a good idea but it is overhype imo. i wish they would make a shoe with a midfoot strike support rather then heelstrike. i very agianst heel striking and them making a shoe that is made just for that isnt something i would brag about. this is just my opinion though takeit or leave it

I find myself in the same position. I can't believe anything Nike says about new technology.

This shoe doesn't user Lunar Foam. It uses Cushlon foam.

QFT. The big misconception about these shoes is that they have Lunar Foam in them. Why do you think they were able to cut away slits of the outsole to givepeeks of the neon green "soft core foam"?

so these are actually a cushlon wedge within a phylon carrier? that almost makes them more appetizing to me since ive had two shoes with lunar foam and bothwore out wayyyy to quickly
