Official AUTHENTIC NBA JERSEY Post - Bringin Back the JERSEY ERA... (Info/Guide = Page 1)

Picked up a size 52 Away Rasheed Wallace jersey that fit like an unflattering plus size prom dress on me. Took it to my local laundromat that does alterations and had it taken in and hemmed a bit to fit more like a size 40. Here's the end result:

Yes, they did mess up the piping on both sides of the jersey when they took it in a little but at least the jersey is wearable now. I can't believe how big a Nike size 52 is. Even the length of the jersey is obscenely long. I've always wanted an Away Blazers jersey, preferably a Scottie Pippen but Sheed will do just fine. Can't wait to rock this to a next beach outing.

Has anyone ever customized a double digit number jersey to a single digit number jersey? I've seen EPS's disclaimer that doing this type of number change would be a bad choice. I've been wanting a M&N A's 1976 Reggie Jackson in kelly green (in the older M&N production run). I've come across a few Rollie Fingers and Catfish Hunter jersey's in the older versions but alas, they both wore double digit numbers. I'm scared of how it would come out.

If the jersey you want to have made hasn't been washed yet, odds are the adhesives on both the numbers and letters haven't been used and can still be cleanly removed when stripping to make into another player. I don't know about MLB jerseys but NBA jerseys come out great when the adhesives on the numbers haven't been activated when washed and can still be cleanly removed with a seam ripper. When a jersey has been washed, you can tell because once the thread is ripped using a seam ripper, the number is still clinging on to the jersey via the adhesive on the back of the number. I think what they're preparing you for in that disclaimer is that if you do such a thing, turning a double digit jersey to a single digit one, you run the risk of a permanent outline of the number that was initially there before you had it stripped. When the adhesives on the back of the numbers gets activated, pulling the number off with force can leave a permanent outline which could look weird if you try to cover it up.

Thanks! Ya, that's what I figured they meant. The permanent outline left by the previous numbers. I'm not too concerned with the name change, I think that will be covered up nicely with the new name if any is left on. Here is the Fingers jersey i'm currently looking at...

Even if there's no adhesive, you might still see the needle perforations. Especially with close-knit fabric like the one used on the Fingers jersey above.

can someone please, who has a Mitchell & Ness Size 40 and 44 jersey please measure the width from pit to pit! I need it urgently! Thanks!

Figured I'd share this here, maybe spur some ideas for you guys/collectors.

My girls son is 16 and a HUGE Boston Celtics/Red Sox fan, don't ask how as we're in NJ  but loves the Celtics and was a huge Big Ticket fan. He has lots of memorabilia in his room Namath, Revis, and J Kidd as Jason and Joumana are friends since when they moved here TJ was in the same grade as ours... So I purchased this Garnett boxed jersey from Full Moon (26/100), the shadow box was 40% at Michael's, engraved Garnett and Celtics plates from eBay ($6.99) and an autographed pic with GA COA from eBay ($79). The COA is in the top left and I am going to matte the "COA" from the Adidas box and mount it top right. Thought it was a cool DIY gift for WAAYYY under what it could cost to get something like this from Steiner, etc...

Thanks NT fam!

xavier84 xavier84 We picked this up at Michael's. It was on 40% off sale though. But those sales happen frequently, and if they don't we have a bunch of coupons. I know I have some home. If you're interested I can see what we have send em over. They are 40-50% off.

thanks but I'm in Europe bro - I think even at a bargain price it's not really worth it to buy one from the US with the cost of shipping.

I'm going to be moving homes soon but I'll seriously look into it once I'm all settled - hopefully I can find something decent this side of the Atlantic

Oohhhhhhhhhhhh...Europe eh? Damn!!! Well then so much for that idea. No idea if Michael's has a European counterpart but it was a house brand. Just an FYI if they do.

That's sweet. How hard was it to place everything? I feel as if this would piss me off and I'd rage quit. Price you pay after discount?

The jersey was the hardest, but not that difficult. Maybe 5 minutes of flattening it out since the material stuck to the felt backing a little bit. It's held down with tiny sewing pins. Can 't even see them. Name plates have double sided tape. The COA's and pic aren't secured yet, gonna find matte/borders for them but will prob double side tape them. The frame was originally $159, coupon brought it to $90.

Hi guys i was wondering how hard would it be to find a lower merion kobe jersey and of course which price i could expect it to go for ? thx NT fam !
