I think the non-mesh version in 97/98 was a shinier "NikeFit" material. I have a Heat Tim Hardaway like that, pretty sure it's the same for the Bulls jersey:

The Bulls didnt wear dazzle with Jordan.

they did have dazzle black alternate in the 2000's but it had wide shoulders and were pretty terrible
