Official AUTHENTIC NBA JERSEY Post - Bringin Back the JERSEY ERA... (Info/Guide = Page 1)

Wondering if anyone has any insight on this. There are 2 versions of the Nike 1997-98 Bulls Alternate jersey that MJ may (or may not) have worn for games - the Nike Fit and the mesh versions. Now I'm unsure if there are game issues of the Nike Fit version but I certainly have not seen any of those nor of any game worn pieces. I have only seen MJ wearing the mesh version. The only thing that comes close to a possibility MJ wore a Nike Fit are the shorts I saw on auction which would lead me to believe that a Nike Fit jersey would have to match:

From my research, the only Nike Fit versions are retail pro-cuts. No gamers. Any evidence one could provide of MJ rocking the Nike Fit or a game issue/worn at auction?

the only one that has kiss cut nob is this last one, which is clearly - fake. you were referring to that one? perhaps it's not clear from the photo but when you zoom, it's obvious. jersey is on ebay btw, you can take a look.

you're sure it's game issued? did they even release pro cut for retail back then?

why to fix nob? from what i've learned in the last couple of days, nob should be standard double layer tackle twill? might be wrong.

if you check those two completely identical jerseys from ebay as well those lbj's gamers from auction websites, you'll see that they all have double layer twill nob.

Ok. I read your first post wrong. The nob on the first one matches the game worn ones. Got it.

I am not saying that the 4.5k and 7.5k ones in ebay were pieced together.

Just saying it's possible (for example: We've seen fake '84 Jordan jerseys with authentic Rawlings tags added on them)

Just go with your gut feeling dude. I don't think you're getting a lot of answers because you're starting to get a little annoying.

Kobe is legit. I had one with the Alpha and 5 dots.

i apologize, just wanted to get a word from experts cuz i'm not in that category, especially when it's about game worn/issued and reebok respectively.

regarding kobe, i know there are alpha 5 dots releases. but that tag should be on the other side of white stripe, shouldn't it? never seen one like this so far.

First pickup of 2016. This is a special one for me, because it was around this time I started transitioning from Swingman jerseys to Authentics (2003). I would even go as far as saying this is a personal grail even with all the obvious inaccuracies.

that's a nice nike Jordan, i regret not picking one up back then.

i remember when finishline.com had the road rookie authentic on sale for $30. i shoulda have bought all of them, i would be rich by now reselling them on ebay.
 
Are there any fake Christmas Day jerseys out there? Been burned on eBay in the past, but that's the only place I'm finding Bulls ones. Also they're like 60 bucks when they retailed for 100, so I'm not sure if they're legit or not

Jordan only wore the black mesh, never the Nike FIT. The Bulls started to wear the new version during the 1998-99 season although there were a lot of Black Nike FIT factory pro cuts made in El Salvador of Jordan. Someone got hosed on those shorts.

right now i thing unis are too simple

would love to see new cavs unis

but that one is very classic and at the end of the day, i like it.

have dickey simpkins game worn bulls alt shorts from 97/98

it's mesh

have also mj mesh pro cut,

plan to add dri fit version but right now it's off my list

regarding my "suspicious" Kobe, has anyone of you ever tried to strip that side stripe of nike authentic?

i wonder if regular taylor would be able to displace the tag without ruining the jersey?
 
although i too, wish that M&N would make their jerseys more accurate, and i dont particularly like the pinhole mesh, i really dont like paying grip for used jerseys (to wear). i am not a collector, so i like my jerseys fresh and clean.

after a wash or 2, you dont even notice the boxy feeling anymore and i prefer that slim cut over the old A-line cut
