Official AUTHENTIC NBA JERSEY Post - Bringin Back the JERSEY ERA... (Info/Guide = Page 1)

The team crest Wizards is hand stitched? What are the differences?

I'll post pics later when I get home, but I'll try my best to explain it. Those jerseys are literally hand sewn and the stitching comes out differently than a real game issued/worn jersey. I bought a Strickland from that seller and it's sewn differently from my arenas pro cut jersey or any pro cut/game issued jersey that I have. There isn't too much of a difference but once you turn it inside out, the difference can be seen.

Hawks Authentics are twill

ebay is doing nothing but siding against honest members if they have an issue with some high feedback score ***hole.
if they would use to check for basic rules violation every now and then, it would we a lot easier to make some good deals. fair deals. but they don't care at all. total mess.
i guess some of you have already tried to report shill bidders, sellers who misrepresent their items, those selling fakes etc. and have you ever got any reply on that? i suppose no. me neither.
so what's the point?
they would uncover guys like jerseys4theshill in one minute literally. but they don't care.
they're allowing hidden feedback, hidden members identity in auctions, they removed an option to search through member's bidding/buying history, they're not allowing us to see member's full id in feedback pages,... all this just protects shill bidders, low ballers and scammers like these guys we're talking about here.

+1

i am a firm believer that shill bidding happens on almost every item up for bid in the sneaker/jersey world. that is exactly why i have left the aftermarket shoe/jersey market alone totally.

overpriced BINs and auctions where shill bidding occurs and sometimes blatantly obvious

Here are the pics of he hand stitched Strickland vs Arenas game jersey. Strick looks good, but it personally just bothers me that its just not sewn how a game jersey should be.

It's a bit sloppy looking to me vs below

It also kind of butchers the crescent shaped dot since it probably is difficult to hand sew such a small piece.

Also, here is a pic of a retail Nike authentic arenas vs the gamer. They use different materials on the crescent shaped dot. The material is not nearly as nice.
Referencing back about the Kobe pro cut vs the gamer. It's probably the same thing where the pro cut just doesn't measure up to the gamer.

asked mitchell&ness is there's a chence

they will make more accuracy jerseys as in the past

that's their answer

that's makes me laugh. r they serious?

and really, someone from nba/hoophall approved it?

don't believe it. so many mistakes...

It's "hand sewn", meaning a human was in control of the sewing machine (rather than using an automated machine with a computer like with retail authentics).

I thought you meant someone had stitched it with a needle and thread lol.

Both your gamers were sewn using the same method, except the Strickland is very sloppy and the inside thread should be blue instead of white.

I am pretty sure that the Strickland is literally hand sewn with a needle and thread. In the guys listing it pretty much says that. It would never look like that if it were under a machine or at least I don't think lol.The only other reason I really think that this is because I had a patch added to a jersey at my tailor and it's sewn pretty much like that. I asked my tailor about it and he told me it was hand sewn with needle and thread. He told me it wasn't going to look like the other stitching because it wasn't under the machine. I'm just being super picky though, but if I thought I bought a game issued or "game worn" and that came, I would be super pissed lol.

This really clarifies a lot. That VintageVillage seller had sold so many Wizards and Spurs team issued jerseys but all of them looked a little off stitching wise in the close up photos. I guess almost all of them were complete blanks and he had to stitch the team crest which is hard to replicate exactly.

I could be totally wrong about the stitching, just my observations lol. I spent a lot of time comparing photos to his jerseys and It just never seemed perfect. I knew when I bought it that there was probably going to be something off about it. However, I do think the seller is pretty honest and transparent about it. Once I got it, I really thought he sent the blanks and all the lettering and numbers to his own tailor to have them done. I asked him about that and he told that was how he received them. I have no reason to doubt him, but the whole thing just never made sense to me and still doesn't. Don't get me wrong, they are still nice jerseys.

I purchased a David Robinson jersey from him last summer. Same thing, in the listing it says hand sewn, but it's definitely from someone operating a machine. The jersey I had received only had the twill numbering and lettering heat pressed on, no stitching as stated. I contacted him and he apologized saying that he must have missed it out of a few jersey's he was selling. I sent it back to him and he had the people at (I can't remember the name of the place for the LIFE of me right now :smh: ) stitch it up. He had it done in a day. I would be super hard pressed to think someone did the entire jersey, Spurs logo, 50 on front, 50 and Robinson on back all in a day. The job was not 100% clean, but I didn't care.

It's pretty hard to tell if an older jersey was stitched originally or if it was customized. As long as the material is correct I don't really care personally. The high grade mesh is the part that makes it different and better quality than retail authentics.

That's interesting and some good info. Hes had so many jerseys posted and I just thought it was crazy that someone hand sewed every single jersey lol. Jersey and tailoring came out great!

It's not. The sewing on authentics and gamers much earlier the sewing looked different compared to more recent stuff

No nba jerseys or any sports were hand sewn from what I know at least 90/2000s

Would be absolutely no point with sewing machines

They have a crappy machine, that's all.

The difference you see is also from the tension setting on the machine.

They would be 20x more expensive if done by hand lol

i swear i get sad everytime i see the warriors wear 'the city' jerseys. i don't even wanna know how much them auctions gonna go for.

Jordan Champion fakes pop up here and there but now we have other fake Champion Authentics. Posts these right next to ones he states are customs. Straight line cut and the size 46 tag is fake. Size 48 tag is actually real and stitched on from something else.

i talked to him and he confirmed those are custom made jerseys.

he has updated item description in the meanwhile so everything should be clear about those.

good lord. any other current players that could command that much?
possibly kobe's final all star gamer.
But right now, currys popularity is just leaps and bounds above the rest.
Which is why Im kinda mad panini cut up his chinese new year sleeved gamer last year and made it into cards. Was interested in seeing how much that would have gone for.

I've been contemplating copping the NBA All star jordan jersey for a minute now. $299.99 on NBA is so much though.
