Might be a dumb question but is it normal for Nike jerseys to say this on the tag?

All authentic Champion Shaq jerseys had the wrong number font. I don't know why, all the other Lakers players had proper fonts

Champion Van Exels and Kobes have the wrong number font too.. haven't double checked the Eddie Jones ones.

the van exel and kobe REPLICAS had the wrong font. the authentics had the proper font... I don't think Champion made Eddie Jones authentics, unless I'm mistaken he wore number 25 during the champion years

youre talking bout the drop shadow that doesnt have the proper angles... the font itself is the same as the gamers. the shaq jerseys have a completely different font that look like the ones used on the replicas. none of the jerseys have the proper name fonts, that said the actual gamers also had inconsistent fonts even in mid season sets

I was told by many of you including purple mamba, relish, badboys2 that majority of the Lakers champion fonts is off including the Kobes. So it's really nothing new. That's until Nike took over and corrected the problem.

and 2 different players have different name fonts, many champions gamers have different fonts
different outline, size, u can see difference especially in "E", "A", "N", "R", "Y" "M" and few other letters...
champion era (89-97) was very inconsistent. they were using 2,3 or 4 different types of letter fonts
it's hard to say why they changed it and when exactly,
sometimes changes were in the middle of the season i think
nike make it consistent, it was 1 standard font, more common, with lighter outline
they also changed shadow in numbers, finally numebrs were similar and... consistent but they running it only 2 years (97/98 and 98/99)
in champion circles inside numbers were different in 9, 8 and 6, 5, 3 when they should be the same or similar in worst case....

Just got back from the tailors and couldn't be more satisfied!
I'm really happy with how this turned out. For those wondering if it's possible to tailor jerseys with panels, the answer is yes
It is a lot more work and my tailor charged me quite a bit, but it was worth it!

I just seen this. His jersey number is clearly mesh, I wonder why the authentics they sell on the cavaliers team shop isn't.

Been this way ever since they introduced mesh numbers. If you wanna save some brain cells, it's best not to think about it.

I don't know what you were asking, the tags are legit
You didn't post the jersey itself. Could be possible the jersey was a blank and customized by Nike/NBA or whoever or I'm not sure
