Kanye West to Design a Pair of Air Jordans?

After winning Grammy awards for his music, Kanye West quickly transitioned into the footwear design world with the successful releases of his Nike Air Yeezy and Louis Vuitton collection. According to MediaTakeout, Kanye has his sights set on designing a sneaker with the Jordan Brand. Rumor has it that "Kanye is negotiating to design a limited edition pair of Nike Air Jordan's" and "negotiations are still early, but that both sides are excited about working out a deal".
Just a rumor for now, but its pretty damn interesting....

eminem "designed" a pair of AJ's too. probably just colorway mockups and embroidery. yawn. they're not gonna press up new outsole molds forthe guy..
 
I concur, Steez. Even on his signature Nike shoe, the midsole and outsole were just re-used.

exactly. they're happy to use his name for the buzz and hype but they're not gonna start engineering brand new tooling for him. they don't careabout him THAT much. lol
 
This could be huge... The fact that Yeezy is from Chicago makes this idea even bigger. Get your sleeping bags ready!

This sounds like it has potential, hopefully he just applies his own cw to a numbered Jordan instead of making a full new shoe. Kanye is one of my favoriterappers/producers so I'll definately have to keep a lookout for these kicks!
 
another cash grab for JB to the hypebeasts everywhere. Nothing good can come out of this except a Spizike looking hybrid sneaker in fruity colorways withKanyes name on it that will cause line ups and huge mark ups on ugly shoes.

I swear if people jump on his jock like this any longer, im going to shoot myself. The yeezys are enough.

Very interesting.

Kanye has been very vocal of his love for Air Jordans...obvious connections growing up in Chicago.

He has also stated the 3, 4, and 6 are his favorite Jordans. I'd like to see a sick 6.....

Ugly or not, the hype for these will be enough for people to cop, inlcuding me, me bein a kanye fan. Hopefully if it does go through, I'll cop. I missedthe yeezys and the LV's is a mortgage payment.
 
NT, look I like Kanye's music and I even like the Air Yeezy with the exception of the color schemes, but let's leave Jordans to JB and his team andpreferrably Tinker! It's bad enough we getting bulls$&t quality from JB right now and on top of that high prices. So do we really need another JBproduct that will cost us as the consumer but probably won't meet our expectations? Just my opinion.

Seriously? I, personally believe, Kanye should just stick with his rapping career.
I mean his video directing career is shot... Why ruin anything else for yourself dude?
