Locking Threads??

I came on here and started a thread asking for fellow sneaker buyers opinions on which shoe to purchase. Upon coming back in to check out some of your opinionsI see my thread has been locked because mods feels there are to many "this or that" threads and us Niketalkers need to learn how to pick our ownpurchases?

What is a forum for, arent there plenty of other things going on in this NT to focus on other than me asking what 2 current releases people woulod choosefrom???


Unfortuanetly I work at a very corporate workplace that no one in here buys shoes or even knows what im saying when I talk about them. So I come here toNiketalk to ask other sneaker buyers their opinion on what they may spend their hard earned 300$ on. I try to keep it nice and to the point and it gets closed.

So what is this for it wasnt like this even when I came on here. It seems like the only thing that flys now are release pictures or unupdated release lists. Ijust dont get it.

obviously its not as its seen here often enough for it to be closed. If its a sneaker forum its a sneaker forum not to be nitpicked on what youy can and cannot write about. Opinion threads are not allowed. They're locked quickly for several reasons.

1-At one point in time, there were WAY too many of them.
2-Its your money and your personal preference. We cannot tell you how to spend your money.
3-Buy what you like.

My point is with the way shoe buying is now I could get a valued opinion on a shoe that someone may have paid to get months early. For example "man lotsof glue on the ___ go with the other pairs"

Also you cant even try stuff on anymore when I have to stand in line or reserve early. They want you to pick your size, pay and leave. So for someone to say" I got them a month early they run a size to small grab a size up" helps alot for someone like me. I cop from FL or Finishline no boutiques in FLAwhere im at. If there were so many then make a section for them wouldnt that make more sense?? I like both but I cant afford both so I do buy what I like but Ialso value most Nters opinions.

I was on Twitter last night asked the same question, got responses if your gonna wear them for the price grab the VII"s 2 solid shoes, very simple tothe point and I value his opinion so I was like awesome he's een the shoes held them even and knows if they are a solid buy for 331 dollars I dont get whythat is a played out question

When you start a thread asking which shoe you should get, you are really asking which shoe everyone here likes.
Some people like III's better than VII's, while other people like VII's better than III's.
You will not get a clear cut answer. People are going to answer based off which model they, personally, like better. Therefor, it is considered a taboo postand will be locked. Just like this one.

I agree with you. The Mods only lock the ones that are from people that dont suck up to them. I made one too the other day and it was locked or deleted orwhatever. Its alot of politics.

Thats not true. Its not about sucking up. Its about making this forum respectable. I didnt post for months due to the amount of legit check / opinion polls /moronic types of post.

We still have a ways to go... but we have come a loooooong way.

You know why they lock it or move it? BECAUSE IT DOESNT BELONG HERE, if you're asking for a REVIEW on what sneaker to buy, or as you put it"advice", then it belongs in the SNEAKER REVIEW section. It's common sense and knowing how to read. It's post like that, and this one, thatmake this section look stupid. If you don't want your post being locked A) Don't post stuff in the wrong section or B) LEAVE. If you really are thatunsure of what shoe to buy then you have problems. Just because it fits for someone else doesn't mean you will like it....As for the threads only beinghere for people that "suck up", that has to be the dumbest statement ever. You proably made some thread about Space Jams or something ignorant likethat and it got moved, or maybe it got moved because....IT DOESNT BELONG HERE. This post is ridiculous.
