Worst designer to have on your team: Peter Moore or Gentry??

So, Peter Moore is the dude behind the Jordans I and II. He also came up with the "WINGS" logo and introduced Multi-Colored shoes to the NBA courts.Shortly after the Jordan II, Nike canned him and he tried to convince Mike to leave the swoosh for an athletic company he was going to. He might have beensuccessful had it not been for Tinker and the Jordan III.

Next up is Gentry. We all know him pretty well (at least you should if you visit NT regularly). He's the guy that has made some Jordan fans happy; whilelegitimately pissing most of us off. I hold him mostly at fault for managing to "water down" the JumpMan like some poor domestic beer with a twisttop. The last 5+ years haven't been fun to watch, especially if you've been watching since year one.

The Question remains, which Designer would you least want on your Design Team? Moore, the guy who tried to steal Nike's cash cow and lure him to anothercompany? Or Gentry, the guy who hasn't had any "brilliant" ideas and turns classic designs into something from a drunken Jackson Pollocknightmare?

My vote leans towards Moore. He's a douche, but he'd never sabotage an established brand (unless you fired him).

Please, only intelligent responses. And before CobraLameBen gets in here, I'ma say it for him "LOCK". Hooray post counts!! (it's a NT statussymbol).

Peace

this is actually a pretty good topic, i didnt actually know about this Peter Moore, ill vote that Moore is the one i wouldnt want, if he stayed imagine howdifferent and crappy JB could of been

Gotta go with Moore. Although the AJ1 was nice, the AJ2 imo was one of the more blander shoes in the sig. lineup. You just gotta play the waiting game withGentry. Every now and then, he gets it right. As long as JB keeps Mayden away for desgining shoes, they could still save the sig. series.

Bruce Kilgore designed the II (and the Air Force 1) and Gentry, to my knowledge, never designed anything.

Moore. Just about anybody else other than Gentry. It seems like Gentry actually goes to variant sites and uses their color schemes.

Maze your right, Kilgore did design the Jodan II. My mistake. But Gentry is the head of a design team; how do you become the head of a design team withoutdesigning anything?

I would least want gentry since the I is my favorite model. But I don't think he's a designer.

Gentry is simply about money and has no regard for legacy. Peter Moore did alot for the industry as a whole, not just Nike or Jordan. Ill take Peter Moore anyday of the week.

peter moore only did the aj1, bruce kilgore designed the 2's and the AF1 hence the thick midsoles on the 2's

Exactly. Gentry is not a designer.

...and you are crazy if you don't want Gentry working for your company. Have you SEEN the number JB is pulling since he was creative director?
