i never knew the blue didnt wrap around all the way on the '88s. I still like the '01s best though. The more blue, the better!

09's are not even close, actually they look closer to the OG knockoffs you could find at Fayva shoes back in the 80's

man what you know about Fayva?

Back in the day, we had that along with Kinney shoes. They had knock off J's, and Jordaches, Pro-Wings(payless had them too), and MacGregor shoes all looking like replica J's.

Even the OG black cement 4s, had a very close look-a-like called Stadias at Kinney Shoes!

Matter of fact, If I can recall, those imitations look better than the CDP 4s.

What you know about the LA Gear military iv's?

The 01's true blues were wack and the 09's are wack. The elephant print these days is terrible.

^ I....vaguely remember those. Was it these but in a different coloway?

If not, then my bad.

Our parents wanted to buy those imitations back then. Back then, our parents wouldn't even walk in Footlocker, or Athletes Foot. Me and my older brotherwould always look forward to walk in those stores and look, and touch the newest OG Jordans on display, knowing that we'd never get them! LOL....

Considering that the way the rubber's been made , apparently it seems to just become dehydrated over time and become brittle, thus being prone to cracking.

Thank you. One of my favorite items. This pic is my strongest memory of the True Blue.

Like I said earlier, the difference appear to be just the shape of the shoe, cement print, size of the perforations, Nike Air logos, packaging, and the red on the tongue. Color placement seems to be on point, and they still look good regardless if they are highly accurate to the original or not.

Just? the shape, cement print, Nike air logo, red on the tongue, and materials? Pretty funny how people really try to convince themselves that these aregood, its a joke. If this was 2001 people would have been pissed, fast forward to 2009 and people that were barely old enough to remember the first RETRO ofthis shoe now they look good and are of good quality too funny

haha yes!!! I remember being bought a pair of Joe Montana L.A. Gears

and a set of Jabbars. 1989 I scooped up a set of Tech challenge II 3/4's white, blue orange and that was the end of the LA gear days.

Hmm I had just kinda assumed the OGs went all the way around cause the 01s did, but this makes me want a 09 pair more now...

Oh and that pic of Griffey wearing the TBs is sick!
