(FINALLY GOT EM BACK DS PAIR...PIC ON PAGE 10) AIR JORDAN XI COOL GREY's LET'S HAVE A DISCUSSION

I feel that the CG XI started to recent craziness (last 8 years) with lining up for J's and everything. Before that i was fairly easy to cop kicks especially all the XI's. Concords sold out but it took like a day and the Space Jams were the same in NYC. The blk/red XI's sat for about 3-4 weeks in some spots and the Columbias were available for a couple days as well. But that CG release was a crazy day in March

I will agree with this and remember hearing about the lines at the mall for these. I missed out on them then, but finally got a pair almost two years ago in VVNDS condition. I try to wear them once or twice a year.

This is the last shoe I need to complete my collection(If you have them in a 10.5 or 11, hit me up). I wanted these so bad. I remember when these dropped, twodudes were fighting over these in the mall. Crazy release.

Well anyway my girlfriend at the time and I got in a serious argument and she cut up my last pair of Cool Grey's with a some sharp utility scissors.

I hope you cut her afterwards.

You still have your pair? What condition are they in if you have them. I am just wondering man, not trying to buy them or anything. I was new to NT during that time, think my name was NewBKnowledge or something like that.

I still haven't worn them. I just looked at them and they are still brand new.

Damn, I enjoyed reading your story and you wentthrough alot with these hsoes. These would be my all time favorite shoe if I went through what you did withthem. Haha!

I wouldn't call it the best Jordan ever, great one though. Two pages in I thought there should be at least one pic. Here's my DS size 13's.

Yes One Of The Best CW I Need A Pair Bad... I Prolly Wouldve Choke My Chick If That Happen To Me

Yeah, this release was crazy.
I remember i was trying my best to get money for them and i could not do it in time so i ended up missing out however when i went back to school on Mondaymorning everybody had stories about how Footlocker only had around 10 or 11 pairs and they closed the store once they sold out and left out of the back doorbecause they knew it was going to be chaos. Alot of people were left out so to make a long story short the customers tore down the gate and everyone wentbananas from what i was told by more than one person so im guessing that the story was accurate since most people told me the same thing happened.

The Black/Cement Grey Air Jordan 3 Retro release in July of 2001 was pure chaos also.
One of Footactions large glass windows was completely shattered!

I still love how the jordan releases were back in the day minus the violence.

man, that girl of yours is brutal...i also remember that moment in Sacramento, good thing i wasn't there..

Wow. March 3rd, 2001 huh....

I remember this day like yesterday. Me and my brother woke up at 7 am to get scooped up by my friend and his mom. I was 15 years old when these came out sothis was my only access to getting them at the time. We hit ParmaTown mall at like 7:15 taking Ridge Road from Denison Ave. We were the first people in frontof the closed FinishLine. We thought we were guaranteed a pair. I had a basketball game that day for my middle school. I had to be in East Cleveland atnoon...so i had to be out of the mall by 10:30 am to at least get ready.

From 7:15 to 7:30, 25 people must've showed up in flocks of 4. Every dude looked at least 20 years old. I remember OG's, dope boys, female thugs andhoopers. I began to think my chances for getting these before these crazy %+$ people were DONE.

Long story short, by 9:00 am store opened....by 9:01; riots broke out. People swinging, shoving, cussing. A finishline employee yelled out loud "if youwant your pair - line up here" in front of the register so my group ran right in front of the registers. Everyone else continued lining up by the stockroom. Dude annouced we had first shots at the sizes. Two size 9.5's and a 9 were the first pairs sold. We dipped past everyone so fast we left our receipts

we didnt even care.

Broke 'em out the box for Gametime

and rocked em on the court freshout the box. I remember everyone staring and asking, "where'd you get them?"

. They were the freshest pair of shoes you can wear fresh out the box. Didn'teven crease that bad believe it or not...

So those 9.5's were worn to death. Wore them with everything. Now? I was fortunate enough to buy these again in a size 11's for now.

I will UN' DS these soon..
My favorite release DAY of all time.

I remember going down to NTSF with my friend and younger brother. We pulled up around 5 am or so and the line was around the block. Luckily my friend saw somepeople he knew that were near the entrance. We gave him the money, and he got our pairs for us. It was crazy though because people were getting robbed atgunpoint for these. I even remember a story of some young guys robbing an older lady. This was the last insane JB release I can remember. I don't if theDMP compares, as I was away at school when that release occurred. Concords are still the best XI ever.

some interesting stories. these released before i started collecting, started workin at foot locker shortly after the release.

Comedy.

My lil' Brother's friend went home bare feet, because his got stolen on 3/5/2001. I didn't expect this colorway to generate problems. I copped theblk/red XI's 2 months after they released.

Only pair of shoes I ever wanted that I couldn't get in 10+ years of collecting. People busted the gate down at local Champs....cops came....multiplefights.....pure chaos
