How to identify fake soccer jerseys? Tips, links, pictures, etc?

IDK too much about authentics, but I do know that the LFP logo should always be stitched on. Also, the Nike jerseys will always have their logos on the backinside collar.

With the Adidas jerseys i know there should be a hologram on the bottom right hand side of the jersey as well. Some fakes have holograms, but if you lookcloser inside the hologram there should be shiny sprinkles inside.

This is what a real Nike jersey is supposed to look like.

Barca's 09/10 kits are ridiculously hot. I'm seriously considering buying multiple shirts (one to play in, one to wear casually).

I wish they stuck with their rule of not having advertising on their shirts but I guess its for a good cause.

This is what I am doing right now. Eastbay.com had the old United kit on sale for like $59 then I had a 15% coupon so I copped one.

Got my EPL lextra printing in the mail yesterday, have to take it somewhere to get pressed. Also, still need to get the 2 EPL patches for the sleeves.

EDIT ~ Did some more digging around and came across this... credit to Faiz_The_Jerseyman from SoccerPulse for his pics and info...

Code 7 kit.

xblaze23 & Sinner P - This is exactly what I was looking for. XBlaze, thank your for clearing up all the confusion! I had no idea that there was anothercategory of jerseys below the replicas sold at authentic retail stores. By the way, you outdid yourself with providing all of those sites.

Sinner P, thank you so much for posting that comparison, I am going to use thosepictures as a guide of what to look for when you're buying jerseys outside of authentic retail shops.

You have to get authentic jersey's personalized to get a jersey with a name and number on the back ?

I have a few shirts, i'll post up later. Most of them are personalised, bought from Kitbag. Im not too fussy, I just dont like the shirts withoutnames/numbers..

My all time favourite jersy would probably be Barcelona 05-06.

Code 7 is really hard to get. They only release a few on the market with limited sizes but sometimes Subsidesports.com carries some of them from time to time.

Got my lettering pressed onto my jersey this weekend. Took it to a local sporting goods store and I think it turned out really good.

yeah, they legit ive bought a few jerseys from there. its the biggest soccer store ive been to here in Dallas.

I think its called, Soccer Premier.

didn't go through the entire thread, but here are a few things to look out for if you're looking for a jersey on ebay:

1. is the seller and/or item located in asia (specifically thailand, malaysia, singapore, or other southeast asian countries). if so, stay away. there arelegit sellers in asia such as threelions, who's in hk. but if it's thailand, for example, then i'd stay away.

2. does the seller offer only M and XL. if so stay away. fakes are typically sold in these two sizes only as they're cheaper for the manufacturer toproduce as opposed to making all sizes.

3. if the seller doesn't mention anything about the product being an official replica or anything to do with Nike, Adidas, etc. then stay away.
- keep in mind, that just because it's a replica doesn't mean it's a fake. soccer jerseys sold at stores, club shops, etc. for the public are allreplicas (or as they call official replicas). you'll see embroidered club/team crest, nike/adidas/etc embroidered logo, etc. player issued jerseys aretypically not sold to the public. some sites like subside will have them, however. but they're rare.

4. if it's a Nike jersey, ASK the seller to post pictures of the inner tags. ALL nike jerseys have two inner tags by the waist area. one is a small blacktag that shows the production date and style/color number. the other is a bigger white tag that shows the washing instructions. as far as i know, and fromknowledge gained from other forums, fakes do not have both tags.

5. if it's an Adidas jersey, it should just have two tags as well. they are both white. (it's been awhile since i looked at mine so i'll have todouble check.) the smaller white one has the production date and style/color number. the bigger one has the washing instructions.

i've run into several sellers that would not post pictures of the tags because they knew they were selling fakes.

whenever i sell jerseys on ebay, i always post those pics.

that said, it's still hard to gauge what's real and what's not when you're just looking at pictures. that's why i've given up buyingjerseys on ebay unless it's from certain sellers. i stick mostly to online shops like subside, onionbag, nikys sports, etc.

i own about 30 jerseys, including one barca (07/08 home w/ henry 14 print). i can post a picture of it, but it's an old one so i dunno if you'll beinterested.

i apologize if i posted redundant info.

Cool, Ill check it out

Not sure if what the jersey is laying on is affecting the numbers, but if it isn't, the numbers are really crooked.
