in '01 things were very different. There were very few resellers. NTSF had a line of 5 people when the true blues dropped. I doubt many peoplestocked up on these back then.
 
01s are better made than the 09s. If prices on the 01s drop, they'll pick up again down the line.
 
^yeah i agree. How is this a resellers worst nightmare lol? What reseller is holding a stockpile of Jordans for 8 years for a big pay off?
 
if 01s wasn't yellowed so damn bad for the most part, it would be a different story....

I own 0 pair of true blue IIIs, but will cop a pair sooner or later just not for $200+...rather get some eggplant foams.
 
the 01's will def still hold there value, esp to the true jordan heads...me personally i would never go out in get those 09's esp if i can still getthe 01's in awsome and wearable shape..witch you can you just got to look and some people are paying alot on those 09's when they could just searchand get the 01's for smewhat the same price..it just depends on who's buying, you have those guys that will only settle for the 01's and thats it.you dont even think about the 09's, they will wait till they come across a pair of 01's. so to answer your question, its the 09's that will nothold that much resell value....thats what the fun is in collecting, its the harder ones to find that make it worth the wild and really make you appreciate themmore...why own the retros if you can own the og's, or should i say 01'..lol..01's and 09's no comparsion...
 
^does it matter that there older??? id prefer 09s since they resemble the og's more than 01's, if ppl gettin jordans jus to say they got the older onesthats kinda wack.ppl shuld get shoes if they like how they look not there status.why spend about the same or even more for an older pair with way more risk ofyellowing and paint cracking which happens all the time with 3s
