Jordan Brand v. High end designers

Now that nearly every high end clothing/luggage brand are putting out sneakers, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Armani and then others, considering the *depth* ofyour swaggah', how does Jordan Brand/Nike's stuff compare to those luxury brands? I am not talking about shoes that you ball in, because apparentlysome of you don't even ball, nor do you ball in Jordans or most Nike shoes. Seeing what Kanye did with Vuitton, is JB still at the top of your list?

If you are a collector, do you see the designer shoes being more valuble in the near future?
 
A pair of Gucci tennis with the croc stripes, or a pair of Concord AJ11's, I mean, if you are really putting it together?
A pair of Prada Americas cups, or a pair of true blue III's?

I hear you, but this is not about Kanye. It's about luxury brands versus JB. Since many of you consider JB a luxury brand, in which Ipersonally find laughable, I want to know how you see the comp. This is especially since many of you DON'T consider Jordans to be shoes to ball in.

its all abouut what you like, and also how much money you have/want to spend on shoes..some people love jordans, and will spend thousands of dollars onthem...but then some people will spend $600 retail on lv or yeezys...i think yeezys tho are the dark horse for the sneaker culture...theyre gonna be hiiiiiighdemand
 
I rock Prada's, Bally's & Gucci's alot but I will take these over them any day

the overall style of jordans and alot of nikes are better looking then these high end shoes. honestly i think 90% of the high end shoes are ugly
 
Never been a fan of high end designer shoes because I find most (not all) of them ugly and only sell because of brand recognition. With that said JB would beat the top of my list if it wasn't for Nike Retro

word. i like jordans because i grew up on them, not because i consider them a luxury item. aint nothing luxurious about my beat down cement 3s,but i'd still take them over some pradas or whatever else. there's just something about growing up on them and remembering release dates, and whichones you and your friends had, or ones that you always wanted but never got.
 
Jordans and Nikes will always be on the top of my list. I like some high end designer shoes, but I'm a sneaker person and to me, air jordans look waybetter than a pair of Gucci, Prada, or Louis Vuitton shoes.
 
I personally only have Jordans, but i have been thinking of getting into some of the designer stuff as well. Plus, I'm gowing up, you guys know how ladieshate the bulky jordans or their guys...

LV is way out of the question at $900+ retail, although I would be interested in investing in some nice designer shoes as well as keeping the Jordans inrotation. I find alot of the lesser known high-end designers have the nicest stuff...just some simple kicks, i swear some of these big name shoes just looklike really expensive supras
 
I like nikes and j's over designer shoes and have alot more nikes and j's than lv and pradas. I think it all comes down to what type of person you are.Some people like to be in jeans a fresh tee and some nice sneakers. Others perfer a button down a pair of slacks/linens/jeans and some designer shoes. I dressup for occasion, but in my everyday life you will rarely see me dressed up.
