I stated earlier in the post that they were mine. I had them customized by another Niketalker...
Back when they released, I had no idea that the value would sky rocket like they did. At the time, retros were still a fairly new concept. Plus I got themfor $100 each.
I had 3 DEADSTOCK pairs, and I had always envisioned a black/royal VI...So why not?? Of course I wouldn't do it again, but I don't think Iregret my decision. I still have 2 fresh pairs of infrared VI's.

Yeah, they are nice, but I wouldn't buy/wear them - I'd prefer to avoid the "stop wearing fakes" crowd.

if they released black/sport blues i'd probably cop, sport blues are my fav VIs
